Is anyone aware of what the protocol actually is with legislation?

Do we flick through the Act in front of the camera at the start of the exam, or every time we use it, or at all?

I don't think they've actually said- I'm going to give a flick through at the start of the exam, but I really don't think I can waste time showing it every time I use it.

I'm really going to grasping at straws for this one so I think my head will be in the Companies Act for 90% of this exam.

The option to start the exam between 10 and 11:30 - does this mean you could study until say 11:20 and login and begin your exam? Or does it only apply if you are experiencing technical difficulties?

Sorry why would you do that ?

I've done all the pre-exam checks but am scared to hit 'I accept, begin exam now' incase it begins?! Or does it just take you to another lobby?

Yesterday, it just took you to another lobby with a countdown timer until 10:00am.

that happend yesterday aswell but it updated at 10 o clock, if you try and go into the exam and it doesn't appear just wait a min, if it doesnt load then log out and log back in, if the paper says its finished just keep refreshing until it shows again...just letting you know becasue if this does happen you won't be able to get through to anyone in LS

Just got through to Shirley and she assured me when the exam starts the timer will read 3.5 hours.

I mentioned the problems encountered yesterday and she said hopefully things run smoother today but that if any problems / early log outs happen, to log it and ring her straight away and they'll be 'accommodating' and lost time will be allowed to be made up!

Hey guys, I know when we log onto on the exam early we get sent to this 'lobby' to wait, does anyone know if we can access notes to study which are on our laptops while we're waiting for the exam to start or is it just physical notes that can only be looked at? Thanks!

Just double checking that we are allowed to highlight our legislation, thanks in advance.

Yes, you can tab, highlight and underline. I read in the Facebook group that the Law Society are allowing printouts of the legislation as well. Can anybody confirm?

Hi everybody, just wondering has ANYONE been asked to show their workspace? My office is a bit messy and filled with my family's textbooks and papers, I am wondering if I should move some of the stuff.

I sat the Tort paper yesterday and wasn't asked. Haven't heard of anyone being asked as yet but I think once you're only looking at the screen, keyboard and allowable legislation then it shouldn't matter what else is around you once you they aren't related to the exam topic.

I was actually thinking the same thing, that extra hour would be extremely beneficial in the morning !!!!

How did everyone find company today? What topics came up?

Gosh I am just out and it was all a blur, nice paper, two of the questions were carbon copies of past papers. There was an essay on to who directors owe duties, another on turquand, restriction of directors, oppression of members, advantages/disadvantages of incorporation which was like half a problem question half an essay question, I can't remember the rest.

For people asking about showing your room, they did not ask, I am at work and there is files everywhere, I went to the bathroom and came back and two of the girls in the office were in there looking for files and talking etc. I am really not worried about any of it really once you get in there and start the exam all of those thoughts quickly get put out of your mind

The exam automatically saves all your work when its submitted doesn't it? my timer just ran out and asked me to submit which was fine because i was literally just finished but i just got a random message from support saying " Every time you move between questions your work is saved. Be sure to move between questions to make sure your work is getting saved."

    so now i'm so paranoid??

I also got this message but I wouldn't worry - I'm pretty sure it'll all be saved.

I ordered past papers but not sure they're going to deliver on time now, been a good while. Unsure whether I should give out about an post, law society, or to be fair - myself!

For property: I have all papers until spring 2019 if anyone needs any (for any subject), and hoping someone could give me an idea of the topics from autumn 19 and spring 20 ?

    Thank you

God I have such a headache after that with staring at the screen for so long! Can't imagine anyone that has two in a row!

On a lighter note - I held up my legislation at the start so they could get a good look but forgot how heavy it was a dropped it on my face

... maybe that's where the headache is coming from?

    Same thing happened to me

Probably a stupid question but i ran out of time in company and had a forced finish on the exam , i answered everything but got a notification while fixing my last question and got a pop up saying to make sure to rotate between questions to save or something, just wondering will my last fix up of the question have saved or did anyone else get this

In relation to the oppression q - what did people
Say for part b? Would answer change if constitution/shareholders agreement contained provision for promotion of shareholders business?

Something to do with section 31's authority to bind members to resolutions.

Oh thanks! Didn’t get that at all but hopefully not detrimental as it’s just 5 marks
