Jaysus if you're going to challenge people on their support for Trump (or any person/subject), at least be prepared...Damien floundering and then handing over to Sinead O'Carroll for help...actually making yer man seem more informed than he probably is.

With the obscene salaries offered to RTE radio comperes, surely they can do better than Damian O'Reilly - He literally doesn't have a clue

Given the calibre of daily rte radio presenters (esp Claire Byrne), its hardly a surprise that a chap who serves as a stand in can actually outdo her in sloppy.

Neck, not knowledge, is what gets you ahead in RTE.
Who is responsible for hiring / scheduling these presenters ?

He / she shd really consider their position. It is beyond embarrassing

He is incredibly poor, he even gets schooled by the callers on Liveline ffs when he’s covering for one of Mr. Duffy’s many, many, many, many holidays.

    Sinead O'Carroll is amateur hour.

    She’s better than Damien.

Why do RTE never have a resident Democratic party debunker as part of the panel any time Larry Donnolly or any of their other Democratic pals are on selling us on their candidate?

Absolutely. I like Damian personally but this isn't his forte. They never expect to get the comeback so are never fully armed or prepared for it.

Sinead O'Carroll an expert on American voters, despite not living in the country and probably gets her information on America from media reports.

Damien, completely humiliated by a college student and exposed as clueless, he's a fool!

I do wish people would stop saying that Trump told people to inject bleach. I despise the man, but that is not what he said. He turned and asked his health advisors to check out the potential benefits of injecting bleach. It’s just as moronic, so why don’t people represent the situation accurately.

That Republican guy was awful, but agree that Damien came off as inarticulate and fumbling. There is SO MUCH to criticise Trump for that is indisputable, and he fluffed it.

I actually like BOC overall, unlike others here- certainly prefer him to this guy.

I don’t mind O’Connor at all, haven’t really criticized him much, but Damien is very poor, and all you need for evidence was that last interview.

Did Damien get his days mixed up, Jim Gavin is a Saturday interview.

    Lovin the psycho babble. :pac:

I prefer Damien but that's only because I think BOC is awful...well for this show. It's all getting pretty poor on Radio 1. Just look at Today with CB and the new sh1t show that Drivetime is becoming...Maura and Daithi for radio.

    Damian's on safe ground now.
Next segment will be about writing songs from home.

A bit like Claire on fashion and hair. Her strengths

Brendan will sleep soundly knowing his presenting gig is safe after that shambles anyway.

Gavin sounds like a cure for insomnia, could be mistaken for a preprogrammed automaton devoid of any humour or passion, just the way he came accross to me

You are not wrong, in my opinion.

Uncharacteristically troubled Paschal Donoghue attempting to protect Leo. He's not going to come off very well for having done this.

He seems to be trying to frame it like the NAGP needed to know the information at the time when there were members of the IMO who still didn't have access to the detail in it.

Now they're interviewing Sinn Féin's David "Up the ra" Cullinane for some reason, I can't wait to hear about Bobby storeys funeral shoehorned in again.

Of course you heard nothing about “breaking the State” and “Up the Ra”.

    It’s RTE buddy.

Awkward how Tommy is better interviewing people he doesnt know with 0 preparation compared to other well paid rte presenters who know who they will be interviewing and have the opportunity to prepare for it.
Glad to hear the show will be back in January.
