    Hi everyone,

I applied to view my tort law script but still haven't received it via email. Is anyone still waiting to hear back from the Law Society with a copy of their August script. I applied to view it towards the end of September.

Also, when you log onto the law society website does it state clearly that the result there is your recheck result? I don't think I have received my recheck result and have received no update/email from the law society about it, apart from paying the fee.

    Thanks.

Whoever was talking about campus oil test/ granting interlocutory injunctions, there is an important 2019 SC case - Merck Sharpe & Dohme v Clonmel Health - reformulates the campus oil test a bit - would definitely need to reference it in an injunction question!
    Best of luck

I applied for mine the day I did the online exam because I knew it would take ages and I received it last night!

Article 101 and 102, but can't remember the specific questions off the top of my head unfortunately!

Was that for the online one? I know for the physical august sitting the question was on what is meant by x terms under arts 101 ad 102.

Did that same question come up for the students who had to sit it online as they were in lockdown?

Anyone else trying to get into the mock and just stuck on the get proctorio page?
Like I have it all installed from the last time so it's all marked as done but there's no way to move on to the next page

YES it's saying there's a fault with my 'Desktop' i.e. the screen sharing. It worked perfectly last week and I did all the troubleshooting for it and everything's authorised...

    Starting to panic me now

And of course can't get through to Law Society.. not even that the phones are busy, they're just ringing out...

I got through to Shirley eventually (no one else seems to be at their desk)
I had to disable all my other extensions and then do a complete reset on my chrome settings, which was a bit annoying, but it works now

Edit: actually never mind it's not working

Are we going to have to do that for every exam?!

When I asked her she said no it was just an error, but what she told me actually didn't work once I was on the phone with her and tried again myself. I figured it out though I think, I uninstalled proctorio completely and then reinstalled it and added it to chrome again. I will probably do that before every exam.

Anyone any thoughts on what to cover for Competition Law in EU? Is State Aid or Mergers due a run or do we reckon A101 and 102 is likely?

Just wondering has anyone typed out a sample answer yet for practice purposes and knows a rough word count for an answer?

I can normally judge by my page count when I’ve a sufficient answer written But unfamiliar with online doc

mine have been from about 900 to 1100 but i think normally closer to the 900 mark

Will the examiner be able to see our sticky notes for essay plans etc?

Art 106 - State Aid came up in March.

Art 101 and 102 - define concerted practice, dominant position etc came up in August physical sitting.

Not sure if 101 and 102 came up again for online EU sitting. Hoping someone could clarify that.

Looking at mergers or Art 102 dominant undertaking can protect its commerical position.

Examiner seems to repeat the exact same questions on those topics - at least going back to 2016.

I asked that in the chat functinon just there, the answer was if screen recording is on then the examiner can see everything

Took me 45 minutes to get into exam.... I eventually got through to LS, she was very nice but unfortunately all they have is a troubleshooting guide so if your issue is outside that you're kinda back to square one.

I was on the phone to her for 15 minutes and still didn't get problem resolved so she told me I'd have to email Proctorio myself.
Within 30 seconds of ending the phone call I had already Googled and found the answer to the issue myself, think that'll be my first port of call on the days if I have any issues.

But that would mean the examiner watching a 3.5 hour recording of every individual, right? I can't see them doing that

      Hey guys,

Does anyone fancy making some predictions for equity?

    • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 34 baloo21

Hey guys - I'm sure others will have thought of this, but in case some of you haven't:

If you're used to highlighting case names and statute in your scripts, don't forget you can make them bold/italic to help them to stand out!

Just wondering did anyone get a letter with an exam/ID number for this sitting or can we assume its not needed.

Just wondering regarding Remedies in Contract, would you place emphasis on Specific Performance or just damages? Feeling stuck for time

Yeah thanks for that. Going to try and cover A102, Mergers and State Aid briefly.

Sorry I'm not sure what was on the online sitting, I did the physical one, but if the online exam was on at a different date/time to the physical sitting then you can be sure that it wasn't the same paper.

For Contract I have focused on damages anyway. Have SP knowledge because I'm also doing Equity, but that's all!

Is there a word count for you in the mock exam? I saw it in the generic practice test but the mock exams from law society don't seem to have word count, for me anyway.
