Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Looking at the warm up on TV there isn't a cone to be seen for the Clare warm up, there's usually 100s of them out for us

Is the rte camera lower down than normal?

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,005 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

    Seems a lot lower alright

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,005 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

First Clare puck out and the Limerick defender catches the ball uncontested

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,005 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Clare try a quick puck out and are pinged for it, next puck out isn't won either, it's going to be a long day. Lots of changes on the Clare team

Tony Kelly on the frees for Clare today

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,005 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Ref isn't allowing quick puck outs, 5 minutes in 3-1 to Limerick

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,223 ✭✭✭✭RMAOK

Its probably the lack of a crowd at the match, but it feels more like a challenge match than a league final/Munster quarter final.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,005 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Looks like Tony Kelly is lining out at corner forward

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,664 ✭✭✭dirkmeister

That camera angle is a pure disaster.

5-2 to Limerick after 8 minutes, Clare with the breeze. Looks like a challenge match with under 20s playing senior

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,005 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Clare's first point from play, well intercepted by Malone, 5-4 to Limerick after 10

I'd say the cameraman and whatever assistants are not allowed in the usual gantry just like Joanne and the two boys are outside rather than in the studio in the corner

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,005 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

    All square after 12 minutes

    You could well be right

Clare into the lead, 6-5, Kelly with a good point from play.

Michael Muircheartaigh had the great ability to make even the most mundane match sound like an All Ireland final.

Marty Morrissey on the other hand has the annoying ability to make an All Ireand final sound like a mundane challenge match.

First impressions i like this camera angle.

Kelly is going well so far, seems to be given a free role.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

    Thurles sod looking pristine.

No bite in this at all. First round of the league would have more intensity. I'm worried the hurling will suffer badly with no crowd to feed off.

Going well but can't do it on his own

Tony kelly is on fire atm

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

Decent match. Kelly the star performer so far. Clare hanging in there.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,005 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Waterbreak, Clare up 9 points to 7, Kelly is flying it, this position of corner forward to go wherever he wants is really suiting him. You'd imagine Limerick will put a man marker on him now to nullify him which will hopefully free someone else up.

I turn on the Irish commentary as soon as I hear Marty, but he's on the Irish commentary as well today :(

Double whammy. If you turned on Clare FM he's probably on that too. There's no escaping him!

Loving the updates, keep them coming please!

Goalkeeper puckout infringement that even VAR wouldn't have seen. Bit harsh that.

Our puck out is under big pressure, this will only get worse in the second half when we are against the wind.

10-9 to Limerick after 25 and a half minutes

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

Hegarty has some stride on him when he gets going.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,005 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

I thought Kelly had a clear run on goals there, 10 a piece now after 27

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,005 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Great point from midfield by O'Halloran, 11-10 to Clare now

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

Looks a fair breeze that. A 7-10 point breeze.

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,005 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Very strong breeze by the looks of things

There is a back door in the hurling

12 a piece now, 10 points for Kelly. 30 minutes gone

With a strong wind only one Clare forward apart from.Kelly has scored which is a very poor return for 32 minutes of hurling.

Limerick starting to get on top a bit now, Clare need to settle down, these 5 could be critical

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,005 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

Great point by Diarmiad Ryan from the sideline on the 65. All square at half time

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators, Regional Midwest Moderators Posts: 24,005 Mod ✭✭✭✭Clareman

How could there only be 1 minute extra time considering the water break and the blood sub????

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,740 ✭✭✭4Ad

    Thank God for Tony Kelly...
Give Shane O Donnell some ball, decent ball..

The wind will make a difference, though it has gone calm here in East Clare, about 12 miles from Ennis..

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,534 ✭✭✭Chalk McHugh

Decent first half. I feel Limerick will go on to win by 10 points as they've a far healthier spread of scorers and that wind is worth a nice few points. Clare are just about hanging in there.

Few balls went into SoD, first 1 he lost after having 3 goes at it, second he fouled the defender, third he put wide and the fourth he got a free.
