So we're NOT to believe the HSE about this, but we are to believe everything they say about COVID?
Maybe RTE should preface every report about whether we should believe them or not?

Does anyone remember that TV Show presented by Johnathan Frakes Beyond belief: Fact or Fiction?

They'd dramatise some spooky stories and half would be something that really happened, and the other half would be made up.

So, Aine wants to risk bringing Covid back to her own hospital?
What sort of madness is this?

Yes, don't know the whole story, but I'm guessing the situation was more complex and desperate. In my experience of bringing my mother in a wheelchair umpteen times to Spain I have found nothing but positivity towards the less abled and tremendous help given to me by locals there, especially in more rural parts.

At that juncture they had no notion of what they were dealing with or how to address it . Panic set in. When one ran they all bolted. Spanish flu raw in stories passed down, perhaps.

I'm surprised a whole nursing home tested positive - I would've thought these places would've been partitioned up with employees only dealing with the same few patients every day and would not be dealing with them all.

Thereby hopefully keeping outbreaks clustered in smaller numbers.

no doubt i've no idea about this virus and how a nursing home is run, but still

Most of them are woefully under-staffed at the best of times, due to the crap wages and the desire of the owners to have Porsche and Bentley cars.
