Better than the lies they told us last June.

    Time for honesty.

    Build a wall around Meath.

All caused by one GAA game

    Ffs.
If they say they are recent deaths then they are.
They have been upfront if other deaths from past dates

    R. I. P. to the 13 people.

    Brutal virus this

Dublin average holding steady or even reducing slightly I'd say. Considering the population its not doing that bad, especially compared to Meath and other smaller counties.

Sure wasn’t it one of the publicans and his wife acting like Tyoid Mary down there and infected a load of people.

They missed the beginning of the presser on the RTE Player. How are we supposed to know the reason for the schools DCMO being there?

Watch the journalists not ask any of the pertinent questions about schools.

    1. Track and trace has broken down, how can children and staff be tested promptly?
    2. Why are the close contact rules for schools so different to the rest of society and why are they being changed?
    3. If schools remain open, how can the lockdown be effective when so many households are mixing indoors with inadequate PPE?

    to name but a few

Still waiting for the one briefing where RTE will start the broadcast on time, and the sound isn't crap, and the slides are visible.

You cannot blame people for being sceptical about the death numbers. They are consistently higher than other countries (for the % of cases) and Leo himself said the way we count them is questionable. Give over with the scamdemic nonsense please, its data that needs to be scrutinised.

I cannot believe they are openly admitting this isnt the last lockdown, and people are happy with that.

I don’t think anyone is happy with lockdowns. Even being in an at risk category I am really not happy with this 6 week miserable run into Christmas, if we even get out of it in six weeks...

forced to reopen too quickly? are you serious, we had the slowest reopening on planet earth
Proving my point with that comment.

The politicians came under pressure (across the Western world) to open up too quickly, and because now we don't know where the rise is coming from we are having to shut everything down.

The original phased plan was quite good and if it had been allowed to work we may only have had to go back one level .

I think so. Backlog must be totally cleared now. I think they have pulled in every case possible for tonight's presser.

They have been upfront on deaths if they have occured in the past is my point. They are saying these ones aren't.

Really? I thought it was disgusting that you never referenced the other 70 + people that died today, young & old.

NPHET basically saying in the letter one of the primary reasons for restrictions is because contact tracing has collapsed and it will need to be remedied before restrictions are lifted.

Of all the relative easy and cheap things to do and HSE completely scrimped on it.

Getting in the fúcking Army band to contact trace.

They didn't learn that off the Koreans.

Thanks for this. This makes the restrictions a little bit more easier to understand and stomach. Closing the non essential type of stuff never made sense to me because the spread isn't really occurring there. Taking this information into consideration now, they are reducing chances of people mixing and thus reducing community transmissions.

To put it bluntly, not many of the lockdown cheerleaders will care. Collateral damage for locking down. Stick them on the €350 and let them watch Netflix.

Do you not understand that the lockdown is the best solution both for the national health and the economy in the long term.
