People on TV keep using this stupid phase of
    "This virus loved......"
It's like they are talking to children.

They actually trained a load of civil servants in March that have never been called up to do it. Most just continuing in non essential roles.

There are hundreds of 'escorts' advertising their services on an Irish website, travelling all over the country, banging away. Good luck contact tracing back to them.

Surely a site such as this should be shut down, like ridiculous that it exists in first place, but now when asking people to stop travelling and meeting, you have hundreds , maybe 1000+ superspreaders whoring around the country.

Consenting adults and all that but it's bullsh1t
Site is t exactly hard to find just Google escort and it will probably be the first page that pops up

You know this how? Market research?

I am out of self-isolation from a positive test on Saturday. My GF lives 25 mins away with her parents, and I normally stay there 4 nights a week anyway (apart from the prior lockdown). We had planned to have moved into a converted flat at home by now, but there have been multiple delays along the way, and it probably won't be until the new year now. She and her family tested negative, as did my parents (second test pending), and I have literally not visited any other household for ages now aside from my own and hers.

Judge me all ye want, I'm still visiting her. I can guarantee I won't be putting anyone in jeopardy in doing so, but her mental health in particular may be affected if I don't. If I am stopped, I'll tell them I'm on the way to school sure.

Will be like a soldier returning home after WW2

Strict household restrictions have done **** all in slowing the virus in Glasgow and Clyde.
They've had the same restrictions in place for over five weeks, and their cases have doubled many times over.

These measures are popular with governments because they have little obvious economic impact.
They don't seem to ****ing work though unfortunately.

So we are in level 3.68 or something, either put it in level 4 or leave it as it is, it's getting ridiculous now

You may be ok with the medical advice https://www2.hse.ie/conditions/coronavirus/managing-coronavirus-at-home/self-isolation.html

They didn't. It was an error, since corrected, in the letter issued.

At least wait out the full 10 or 14 days isolation period. You got a positive test on Saturday last. That's not long ago. What if you are still infectious? You love your girlfriend so much you would like to make her sick and risk the lifes of her parents.

Well that sucks, I am in a group with high risk people who all live alone, like many younger high risk people do nowadays. We have been uber cautious following the guidlines but after nearly 9months enough is enough, we only this week started visiting each other as it was starting to take a toil on some people, like the person who visited me this evening. I cant see us stopping or we will just shrivel up anyhow and might aswell be dead to hell with covid. And each of us know the risks it presents to us better than the government or Nephet. We have decided to meet up and play music for our mental health. Like for anyone to challenge that.

Government need to give clear advice on what to do. They are not doing that.

Result: People are deciding to look after themselves.

It's still level 3 based on the document- it's not that difficult to follow. There is wiggle room between levels.

The change in household visits is covered clearly in Level 3. But it's hipper to spout the old 3.67.

Won't judge someone like yourself who has thought about it and will minimise the risk. As you say mental health is something to consider.

It's the people who do it and say fk everyone else that is annoying.

Are the home visiting guidelines enforced over there in Glasgow?

Believe me, I have followed the isolation guidelines to the letter of the law. Both the HSE official who confirmed my positive test, my own GP, my friend who is a GP and the contact tracer guy all told me I can leave my "cocoon" on Saturday.

Who am I to defy the experts.

Feels like this evening could is the last chance before level 4 for the country. Playing off the budget yesterday to support those out of work etc

One last chance to "get the numbers" down then BAM level 4 for all as soon as mid term starts

Probably not. I imagine they're impossible to police and not very well respected.

    I don't really know though

Wish they would have shut the schools in the three counties, if for no other reason to use as a test case for the rest of the country. These level 4 restrictions may at best stabilise the numbers but in all likelihood not do much with the schools remaining open.

What is actually different in level 4 compared to the level 3.75 we have?

13 out of 28 hospitals don't have spare ICU beds currently. https://www.irishexaminer.com/news/arid-40064951.html?type=amp&__twitter_impression=true

I know in England they are a little bit more enforced. I heard from a people I know living there - if a neighbour sees visitors going to and from their neighbours, they snitch to the police. I don't know if Glasgow has followed the same way snitch ing on the neighbours.

Did the advice not state (for level 3):

You can have a maximum of 6 visitors to your home from 1 other household only. This may be reduced further in line with public health advice for the area. You should not meet socially in other settings.

No visitors whatsoever is level 4.

Although looking at the gov.ie site, it seems this has been changed now to reflect the announcement :pac:

Jesus wept. If you are indeed being serious, it is increasingly easy to see how this thing has gotten out of hand. Do you understand anything at all about the difference between self isolating and restricting your movements?

If they put half as much effort into clearly promoting good hygiene, social distancing, establishing effective testing and contact tracing, and boosting hospital capacity, we'd be in a far better place. Instead we listen to them on a daily basis banging on about restaurants, pubs, house parties, football matches.

I know a fella from Cavan who'll be visiting multiple counties in the next two weeks despite the "level 4" restrictions.

NPHET and the Government have well and truly lost the people on this.
