80 in Cavan, you'd wonder if that's related to the hospital.

    Or the border?

Gonna be a rough 7 days but think we will get through it.

    Hospital/ICU numbers look not alarming.

How is it going Necro as our resident live positive case? Hope the worst is past

Not too bad, no improvement either. Chest still feels like it's cased in cement.

Thankfully got the wife and kids sorted for tests tomorrow but booked at different times by out of hours GP

    31 ICU is encouraging.

There has not been an explosion

    As alluded to before.

These rises are build in. And it will be a bumpy few days but we should steady.

Enjoy the madness in here next 60mins

Reminds me of the its only clusters talk. The hospital numbers have spiked up significantly in the last 2 days. No point in being positive just for the sake of it. Its very short sighted to just look at ICU numbers and think everything is ok.

    240 in Dublin

But, I thought Dublin was totally in the clear according to here

Even with 241 cases in Dublin today the 7 day average is still lower than last week. The last 3 days there was a backlog, so numbers were lower than reality, today higher than reality, but trend is still in the right direction overall

Look at the 7 day average not the daily numbers

    5 of 100 2 with 200

    Not exactly promising

Level 3 isn’t working as it should

We should be seeing serious declines by this stage not stability

Clear no, showing progress certainly as previous weeks Dublin would have more than 50% of the daily reported cases

So how many real cases were there when you take away the backlog?

Do they ever publish stats by profession? e.g. whether people in hospitality industry have higher case numbers than other sectors? If you're working all day in a hotel and they are supposed to be transfer zones, lots of staff would be catching it no?

Where are the people who were saying it's under control a month ago?

Anyone know if the couple of 100 cases backlog is in that number today?

Because the rest of the country is rising more so than Dublin doing great
We’ve had level 3 in Dublin for weeks and cases haven’t dropped significantly!

All of them. Backlog is only a timing issue. Doesn’t make cases less ‘real’

So you want to slag off people who said something a month ago? Imagine a situation not remaining constant I'm shocked I tell ya.

A GP in Cork said there is now a higher positivity rate for Covid-19 in his area and doctors are seeing much sicker patients.

I'd imagine so, there were only the 900-odd positive swabs there.

Wonder what day I got included... :pac:
