Derry is in really bad shape. Donegal has no hope if this keeps up

Was just about to post that. Very bad in Derry

Why is Northern Ireland running such high numbers?

Alarming rise, to put it mildly. https://twitter.com/DarranMarshall/status/1314192529148051457

EDIT: Apologies, didn't notice a few others posting the same tweet above.

To be honest I'd have more confidence in a vaccine arriving before an accurate rapid test.

Have read up on both & wouldn't have confidence in a rapid test.

However they did mention a few weeks ago about a new test for children

Rapid antigen tests and rapid RT-PCR test kits are two entirely different beasts

Can anyone clarify would group music classes for children have to be cancelled under level 3?
I assumed they could not go ahead as they are indoor groups but have been advised by the teacher that they are still going ahead and I'm not sure if I'm comfortable with this as it seems to go against the restrictions but I'm not 100% on the rules.

You are now entering Free Derry will have a new meaning in a few weeks when they are the first place to reach herd immunity at the current growth rate

Positivity rate seems to be climbing.

    7 days is 4.2%

You have to go back to the 3rd of May to get higher 4.3%

    Minimal restrictions and low compliance.

It's only recently that they have moved to something akin to our level 3 despite higher cases.

The leaders have said they want to bring in more restrictions but they don't have the money.

Donegal will need to go to level 5 to get down.

That's the most positivity about anything I've ever heard about in Norn Iron.

Goes under education so over rides the indoor event I assume?

Have a colleague from Belfast who mentioned some people are being sent testing kits to take their own sample - so you can imagine there are a lot of false negatives / people not bothering

Do you call that big money for people with their qualifications?
If they were in the private sector do you think they'd be earning less or more?

Where did I call it anything? I've no opinion on the money they earn to be honest. I would just like to see a bit more innovation since the government are highly reluctant to go to level 5

Quite simply because they get on with things and are a toughened bunch over their “do everything by the book” freestater cousins.

Well its quite simple you won't see any impact of level 3 in 10 days

Then why set that as a deadline?

This is where I'm confused it's an external class not related to school and the local dance and gymnastic classes have all been cancelled but this hasn't.

make absolutely no difference in terms of cross border what level you put us at unless everythings closed.

although have noticed a lot less people about this week, hopefully its starting to sink in

While our cases are rising uncomfortably it seems completely out of control there, with nobody in charge.

Put more fear into people? Try and force compliance and when it doesn't work use that as a reason to go to 4/5 more quickly than in three weeks?

Remarkably low death rates up North all the same.

Do they count deaths differently to us?
