Are you counting today's Dublin number being twice yesterday's bringing the average back up above the level of a few days ago when it started falling.

Yes. The 7 day average is lower than it was 7 days ago. Just slightly lower, mind you.

Oh god, my late mother used to say this for a laugh. She never drank but would talk about escape if needed! Love it.

Michael Martin must be laughing to himself people blaming Leo or Tony

It's stabilised at a fairly high number 1155 v 1180 over subsequent 7 day periods.

At that rate by Christmas you'd be at 900 a week.

There has to be a sweepstakes going between the journalists as to who can make Tony walk.

Yeah it doesn't ****ing matter anymore. Interrogating Tony on Sunday timelines. Stupid question and a waste of time.

Yes and that would be perfectly manageable.

The journalists are asking very dumb questions.

Im brainstorming here, we need some fresh slogans guys. Stay home stay safe hold firm the next three weeks are crucial we are all in it together is great but I think things need to be jazzed up a bit. “Kill capitalism to kill the virus “ is my suggestion.

He's met the Government a few times over the last few days. I'm not convinced at all that the claims of tension between Government and NPHET are accurate.

I'm wondering that myself, I'm wondering is this a stage play to prepare us mentally.

Nonsense question about the time of the phone call. Sure why not ask what brand of coffee he was drinking during the call.

Looking increasingly likely we'll need a circuit breaker in November/early December.

We all need a hug and a jar at Christmas.

At this stage we will be ok. Used to the rules and will be patted on the head for observing etc. Hope everyone does.

Forget about the Winter. There isn't much to get us over that, Covid or not.

20 days average hospital stay for Covid can't be right?

3,676 patients have went to hospital with Covid

    That's 73,520 hospital days

Covid is here what 200 days, nearly 7 months?

367 patients daily on average have been staying in hospital over the last 7 months

I don't get it, anyone good at the math?

I swear it always seems to go back to Donnelly.

A row between Leo and NPHET will now be about Donnelly tomorrow

How about wear your mask wash and sanatize your hand and keep doing social distancing. People can still do there shopping but no your quiet apocalyptic version is better.

Please tell me what are we to do when there is no ICU beds or high dependance where hospitals are so overrun that other much needed procedures have done are stopped. What is your suggestion

20 days definitely isn't right. Maybe they meant ICU patients or something?

I haven't watched the conference in months.

Hats off to those who watch it each time. It should come with a health warning (non Covid!). Absolutely depressing.
