Should be fcuked out of it for that, but his voting base are all probably like that anyway

The Tipperary people have always been great Irish people.

We know why the Jackeens got their name.. An oul fondness for sniffing the underpants of the Brits.

    I generally laugh at him.

And you're right, I probably won't be laughing last because there's always someone who watches his latest bunch of gombeen politician verbal diarrhoea after I've seen it. They'll be laughing after me.

No need to jump to his defence because you voted him in to your constituency, you doth protest a bit too much.

regarding the leak - just ask yourselves who had more to gain by leaking it, and who looks better in the eyes of the public today?

Can you spell it out for me

The whole "we have the strictest restrictions" line is false.
The fact there is no enforcement means that recommendations are pointless.

Asking where has he been for the last few months is fcuking low, when he knows exactly where he's been.

In Mattie's defence, Mattie is probably stupid enough not to have known where Tony was.

So the Gardai have just said we have no new powers we can't stop you unless you break an existing law. S basically you can travel where you may. Comical the government should have this sorted out. Some people have shown time and time again unless it is mandatory (maybe not even then) they give the 2 fingers

I have a friend in amsterdam it is a basket case, cases are sky rocketing, I think you don't have to wear masks in shops etc (well at least until recently).
They also had bars etc open still til 1am pretty recently

I've a friend there as well can't wait to thump him when he gets back over all his complaining of the cues to get weed, he's living in a parallel world. The irony is he's helping get a factory ready to pump out loads of covid vaccines for us.

I don't think that was months ago either tbh.
I just wish he would f#ck off.
He will probably be in jail for something soon enough!

We don't know for certain, but you would imagine if it wasn't NPHET they'd be making that very clear today and yet we've heard nothing. I'm supportive of NPHET for the most part and think they get a lot of uncalled for criticism on here for doing their job, but this isn't a great look for them.

Agree with this. Tony returned, probably believing the standing of NPHET was the same as when he left, but also understood the government would not budge easily. Personally think it was an attempt to reassert the primacy of NPHET in dealing with this, with the ultimate aim of bouncing us into Level 4

Constant calls here to harmonise the Covid response across this island North & South, while across the water they are making sure to seperate & regionalise the island between North & South.

Don't know which approach is best, if any?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,080 ✭✭✭✭titan18

It's UEFA, the game will go ahead if half the squad are riddled with it. They've made several teams play already despite it being clear they shouldn't have

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,625 ✭✭✭Sconsey

My point is this will be a never ending sequence of restrictions, ease , restrictions , ease ... etc ...

vaccine won't help, even if it's distributed to everyone, 50% max efficacy , less with people over 70 (which is who we want it to work most with ... )

Where are you getting that from? you seem to already know the results of the stage 3 trials that are still ongoing.

You are probably mis-remembering the statement that for a vaccine to be viable it needs a minimum of 50% efficacy, the manufacturers are hoping for much higher.

You will always have selfish assholes.

But level 3 worked in Offaly.

The vast majority will comply and numbers will fall.

Someone should ask where he has been he seems to just crop up when there is a chance to hear his own voice. Was he wearing sunglasses today

Most of the level 5 crew don’t care about this. Probably basement dwellers and anti-socials who don’t like social interaction. Could very well be on the spectrum and feel uncomfortable interacting with other humans. They’d have us locked down until the bug was wiped out worldwide if they could.

You need to speak to your doctor about changing your medication. After posting this gibberish whatever you are taking is clearly having bad effects on you.

McGrath is being ridiculed because he doesn't have an accent like Leo, is from rural Ireland etc. The superiority attitude you have calling someone a dopey prick. You want all public reps to sound have mid Atlantic/West Brit accents and then they're acceptable. A bit of news for you, Stephen Donnelly sounds ok but hasn't a notion.

Nothing he says here is false. The Big Tony did arrive like John Wayne. And, in the context of coming back and trying to radically change how we are dealing with the virus, McGrath was right to point out Ronan Glynn had been dealing with the crisis for the last number of months and was totally undermined.

Tony is not some deity that can't be questioned.

McGrath is not from rural Ireland he is a Cork City TD. He is from the same constituency as Coveney
