Was it with the old system if one part was in level 4 rest of country had to be in level 3? Then again levels have been tweaked so much who honestly knows anymore

Current plan is only 2 levels allowed in the country at any one time.

But the plan isn't worth the paper its written on

Conspiracy theorists suggest that the bergamo photos were taken back in 2013. And that the NY mass grave photos were taken on an island where all the unclaimed bodies in NYC get sent to be buried and that wasn’t out of the ordinary. Don’t know anything about Madrid.
    .
Like all conspiracy theories there's a grain of truth twisted .

The NY mass grave was taken at the location where they bury unclaimed bodies . The number buried at once was not normal .

And only today Ryan is saying schools would stay open in level 4. Go figure!

If I was a betting man I'd say schools will stay open till Xmas hols and then won't reopen till the following September.

Pulling that from my a$$ also, have no inside track or anything of the sorts.

    not Kildare?

Why ? Its incidence as of Friday was 35 per 100k. Well below national average

I'm not sure why you say "Irish" schools. Schools are open in every country in Europe, the approach in Ireland is the same as elsewhere - keeping the schools open is, quite rightly, seen as more important than keeping pubs, restaurants and shops open.

Sure in Japan everyone died equally so we can't say that the bombs affected children more or less than adults, our most up to date info says children should have some level of immunity to explosions and radiation, primarily due to their small size and non-human nature..... :pac:

Yeah sure Donegal and Dublin both in level 3 yet wet pubs can open in Donegal with people outside. They were quick to put Kildare, Laois and Offaly into restrictions and Donegal. Will be interesting to see if there's any action on some of the higher countries. Monagahan as higher incidence than Dublin currently yet on level 2.

North's cases worrying too with so many travelling in and out.

Because we are in Ireland on an Irish message board.

Its really not though, schools in other countries have taken a hybrid approach this year, so partial remote learning mixed with physical learning to reduce class sizes. Our government couldn't be arsed putting any such plan in place over the 6 month period of school closures though. Instead we took the approach of pile them in fast and high and hope for the luck of the Irish.

35 per 100k in 14 days upto friday then 20 per 100k in Saturdays cases alone. Perhaps the growth?

Im sure they will include Sunday cases in any discussion they have.

And what of the staff in schools or the adults those 1million+ children in schools can then spread it to? Schools don't work in isolation, the are connected to every other demographic in Ireland through families.

Its still not near enough to warrant a change from level 2 for Kildare for example when put against national average

Very easy for some people to call for social responsibilty when they are making out like bandits out of it all.

Ohh I agree. There’s drivel on both sides, and truth is probably somewhere in the middle.
That’s why I’d like to think 200+ governments around the world with access to the best experts, are doing the best they can and probably know more than us here on Boards.

Point me to one in Europe with a hybrid model at primary level.

Why is it that every year, the flu, the sniffles, chest infections, even head lice, are transmitted through schools but somehow Covid would be different ?

I don't work in a primary so will leave that fight to those that do, i will say primary schools offer a greater challenge with regards to a hybrid approach than post primary, but our class numbers at primary in Ireland are among the worst in Europe, there should have been plans put in place, instead its looking like this will get so bad all schools will close and zero educational will happen.

After the high numbers yesterday, I wonder is today a return to normal or was yesterday a sign of things to come.

So level three seems to be having an effect in Dublin, why then move the rest of the country from 2-4?

No social gatherings to take place, and bars and restaurants being able to open outdoor for restricted numbers is a bit a contradictory.
