When the dust settles in years from now and we see what the actual death -rate is from Covid, there will be fury amongst the population, especially as the bill for this nonsense will have been presented for payment by this time.

I'm sure we can have a lovely expensive tribunal that will make some barristers millionaires while finding nobody to blame.

It kind of reminds me of all the people who voted FF for years to the despair of some of us and then when it all imploded, scandals, crash, it was a surprise to them.

As I've said here before, I've had friends shouting at me over my views on this just like I did when I used ask how anyone could possibly vote FF. The chickens will come home to roost.

Pretty much yes, that is what I'm saying.

I have no opinion on flu, it is a controlled problem.

An excellent start from me and a poor show from all the clowns here, so free that they are chained to boards 24/7.

Dont mind them. I love your provocatively designed posts. And predict a long and happy future for you on this thread.

I actually dont get what you want ?? - a never-ending lockdown until we have zero cases, regardless of any other life issues, be it other serious illness's - actually never mind, doesnt matter what you think.

See... you lads are incapable of debate even, just backslapping and sneering.

Your man Nox was a bit hardcore but mostly right.

At the end of the day you are all just acting out of fear, and no better in that regard to the people you are mocking, misplaced fear in my view as health trumps the economy (and of course they are intrinsically linked)

I also have my own money issues thanks to covid but I have the maturity to look beyond my own doorstep at the bigger picture and greater good plus I wish it would all be over ASAP not in a few years. I think ye get off on the situation having something to blame the gubberment for.

Collective maturity would go a long way towards a solution, other countries have the problem as solved as it can be.

Anyone that uses the word 'gubberment' can be summed up as a condescending WUM imho and safely ignored.

I suggest you read back a bit so. Ignore me all you want, I'm posting here to allow others to see and make up their own minds. Most people reading but not posting are sound and reasonable but this thread has descended into an intellectual darkwater that you bully anyone with an opposing opinion out of.

No bullying here lad, just offering my opinion. When you use the language you are using it's clear what you are at. It's even sadder you set up an account today to do it despite having better things to be doing.
Anyway carryon I 'm trying to guess how long before you attract the attention of the Mods.

Whats the debate about? Should we go into lockdown when new cases rise, regardless if road crashes in the month account for more deaths than with covid?

You introduce yourself on this thread , by calling us Clowns and ignorant, and then you play the Bullying card, when you are called out - good luck.

So it fear that makes us want things back open and back to normal, and bravery that has cranks like you calling for the country to shut down if three people sneeze??? It is well established now that the disease is not dangerous to the vast majority of people. What is there to actually fear?

Ideally we would act in a way that there wouldn't be new cases. If we had cop on we could have kept pushing it down from June while having some degree of normal life.

Sadly conspiracies and madness have led to a lot of loose behaviour and taking the absolute p*ss and you lads go completely overboard on it here, you can't just follow the three basic precautions, instead you spent months pushing a message that they are useless and should be ignored effectively shooting yourselves in the foot and costing us all 3 months in a two steps forward, one step backwards way.

Calling other posters 'clowns' is pretty uncivil dear boy.
I won't be reporting you, I don't think it's necessary. I'm sure you will pop up in a different incarnation soon.
Anyway enjoy your stay however long it lasts. ;-)

Fear of poverty, fear of a cancer/suicide epidemic as two examples.

Just like the restrictions you hate, you are manufacturing your own demise on the financial front.

Posters in this thread didnt allow wet pubs to re open in July when new cases were 4, 8, 9, 5, 6, 12, 3, 10, 7?

Or you mean you wanted new cases to be 0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0 in July prior to getting "some degree of normal life"?

What I want is cop on and maturity. Nothing more.

Transfer of Risk to others as a plan. That is Seany Fitz territory.

To be quite honest, I've a secure and stable job. I've no financial worries. Suicide and cancers have been at epidemic levels in Ireland for years also. Try again.

You also quite laughably stated "Ideally we would act in a way that there wouldn't be new cases" - for that to happen we'd have to close the island. Then keep it closed until the rest of the world eradicated it. How would that would work on whatever planet you're from??

Road crashes are not a highly contagious and potentially deadly virus, road crashes also kill a fraction of what covid has already killed.

It would work excellently. A common sense solution.

    It isn't.

Why would earning your freedom to live a normal life be stupid? Especially when facing rolling lockdowns and all the rest with no end in sight.
