What I want is cop on and maturity. Nothing more.

Transfer of Risk to others as a plan. That is Seany Fitz territory.

Wow, that sounds like a data-based want and not the want of a knuckle-dragging, bitter, basement-dwelling keyboard-warrior re-reg.

Think what you like, very far from a basement here brother

I'm am bitter that society is collectively a bit thick though, fair enough.

Watched a you tube video of Michael McNamara dissecting the covid stats and clearly demonstrating them to be the rubbish that they are. This comment underneath made me laugh though 100% agree with the sentiment.

Pat the tyrant Kenny should be made watch these vds, he has become completely deranged and wants the whole Country locked down and under military law. He is now no 1 enemy to the Irish people as far as I am concerned. The stats for deaths in this Country for the past week= cancer deaths 200 + 185 heart attacks

When you think of the misleading stats, plus the number who actually picked up covid in a hospital, the true risk in going about your daily life must be miniscule.

Pat Kenny has been massively disappointing through this. He’s let himself be completely and utterly blinded by his own age (70)- I’ve no doubt pat is a very healthy fit 70 year old and should not be so hysterical

How about my granny in her 80s locked in the gaf. Should she be ecstatic at what is going on?

No ones locking her there- completely own choice what measures she deems appropriate- no one else can live her life or own her health really

    It isn't.

Why would earning your freedom to live a normal life be stupid?

Because while we lockdown as a country to play our part in this world problem, you’re waiting for countries from as far a field as Chile, South Africa and the eastern edge of Russia to keep up with us.

Otherwise it’s pointless. But you know this.

The 5m of us here can’t even agree to the current plan. Why would nearly 8bn other people think your idea isn’t stupid? That’s not a question.

Get her RTE player on an ipad, Super Valu home delivery and zoom bingo with her mates, she'll be grand. Her parents survived the war, she can suck up sitting in her home with modern luxuries for a few months.

    A little realism please

The general consensus here seems to vulnerable to shield themselves and everyone else to get on with it. No????

Transfer of risk equivalent to the despicable acts of the financial sector, burden someone else, simple as that.

No respect for the elderly in this country.

Ok but will you agree to same and if not, why not?

Remember my dream of maturity and collective responsibility.

Rte player while locked up? There’s a recipe for suicide and depression if ever I heard one!

Don't let them in without proof of covid negative at this side, few days forced quarantine possibly less as tests get quicker. Essential only travel. The sort of common sense stuff others are already doing.

The actions of a small country are little concern to the 8BN and you know it.

Because I am 31 and statistically covid is of negligible risk to me; like 1 in 1000s risk of dying. It is an over 65s flu without a vaccine so, if the OAPs are fearful of covid, we can set them up at home with whatever they need.

Transfer of risk, like bankers to plebs.

Doesn't affect me, therefore no problem.

    Right?

Road crashes are not a highly contagious and potentially deadly virus, road crashes also kill a fraction of what covid has already killed.

That is grossly incorrect statement. Road crashes kill 1.3m people worldwide on an annual basis. Huge problem right? Or maybe not?

The calibre of pro restrictions posters has seriously deteriorated these days.

Hard to read a pro restrictions post now that doesn’t include pints, fines, gubbermint or something like that.

Thankfully it's at least it's gone beyond the days when you'd be called a Gemma O'D supporter / far right lunatic

"Doomers", "anti-relaxers", "flat curvers" are extreme ignorants like anti-vaxxers and flat-curvers - they are coming across poorly the more we drift away from widespread concern or care for covid.

For Nox, the only world problem is covid-19. Forgetting that its not even in top 10 leading causes of deaths.

You do realise it is just aping everything you lot have a already said.

    No smoke without fire.

It is beyond predictable the whinging about td pensions and similar. The preoccupations and resentments of bitter types in many cases.

In 2008-10 one small group transferred risk to the greater population and ruined the economy.

    History rhymes.

Tbh it’s hard to tell which ones are the parody accounts and which are real for me.

I'm open minded to see the league table and I agree with you. If we stopped everything for covid we need to sort out malnutrition too which I'm guessing is numero uno.

I agree; the elites in politics and the cushy public sector are doing the shifting to those not within this cosy bubble under the guise of covid. It's farcical but I'm looking forward to the next election when FF and FG will be getting their P45.

It is obvious that there is no point playing the game of my facts are better than yours.

I'm just showing the rest of the forum the level of discourse.

You want better quality of life for yourself by denying it to my granny.

    SALT OF THE EARTH.
