Would've been an extremely harsh red card imo. Yellow about right.

Amazed the ref showed the yellow, obviously happy he's still on the pitch but it was reckless from mane.

I'd like to see why the ref gave a yellow. If he thinks it's an arm to the face or an elbow to the throat then it has to be red. If it's a push to the chest then it's not a yellow.

there wasnt really anything in it for me, he's tried to hold him off mis judged it and caught him by accident, free kick and move on, if we're booking players or sending them off for that, then there is gonna be a sh!t ton of sending offs for when players catch each other in the face jumping for a header.

Would have have been a nonsense red but you see them given.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

That's kind of my point. The ref booked him so thinks its an arm to the face so a red? Or else thinks like you do and its nothing. I don't see how it's a yellow for that. It's a red or nothing.

A foul throw by a professional footballer is definitely high up the annoyance list

Did Xhaka get booked for pulling Kieta back in the build up to the goal?

Parity as mane scores, what was Luiz at in the follow up though?

Dont think so, bit of a joke.

How can a player have that much time in the box?

    WTF are arsenal at?

Arsenal look like a lower league team playing a good Premier League team away in the Cup.

    Arsenal getting battered tbh

You'd wonder why Arteta and Arsenal insist on playing out from the back. Been a disaster so far.

Either lose the ball in the final third or it's route 1 back to VVD.

Surprised if Liverpool don't capitalise again on an interception or similar.

Liverpool miles ahead of everyone in the league. They will win the league again this year handy enough

Superb first half from Liverpool bar the Robertson brain fart.

Thought the same but looked fine on the replay.

Brainfart from Robertson but bar that Liverpool are smashing Arsenal

I don't think Arsenal deserve too much flak for how they've played.

They're a hell of a lot more organised and resilient than they have been at Anfield for most of the last 10 years. There's been games where you were wondering if it was going to be 10-0 given how many chances Liverpool had, but they've mostly held Liverpool at arm's length.

The playing it out from the back is risky, but I think they need to draw in the press and beat it to give Willian, Lacazette and Aubameyang the space to get behind Liverpool, and it's nearly worked a few times.

Otherwise, they're just going to get the ball back at them anyway, but carry no threat of their own. They're not going to win 2nd balls or beat people in the air ahead of Liverpool's midfield or Van Dijk and Gomez.

Yeah Arsenal should be taking the elbow to the throat that Mane likes to throw around. That's what the problem is.

They scored a goal from it. They scored another in the community shield against the same team.

It's a tactic. As a Liverpool fan I'm terrified when a team has a move that beats our press as one or two passes takes 6 or 7 players out of the game and that's how they scored..

Arsenal won 2-0 in the league against Liverpool only a few months ago through mistakes. And they got another tonight.

In fairness to you, I think some of my fellow fans who claimed Tierney was milking it are mad.

I was very nervous when the ref reached for the card.

My comment was mostly tongue in cheek.

Just maddening to see the same old nonsense thrown out about Arsenal when it's not true.
