Todays Dublin cases are lower than yesterdays! There has been a small increase in cases in Dublin since last week, perhaps 10% week on week.

A 10% increase is not exponential growth.

Exponential growth is 100% increase, followed by 200%, 400%, 800%...
The actual real numbers for Dublin below and not your made up numbers confirm your are talking through your arse

It'll be at least 3 weeks - but probably 5... looking at the calendar they might want to drag it out past the October bank holiday and school mid-terms?
I'd say it'll be the first week in November before Dublin goes back to 2!

Would be really unfair at stage to ban matches and all other non food/pub issues at stage

Surely we have built/ acquired more icu beds in 7 months?
There is apparently a system to ramp up as required. I've seen a number of 250 extra being available.

How many hospitalisations this week? What was the media age of these hospitalisations? How many people will be jobless tomorrow?

And we all know that these are not the businesses who are causing this.

I think he made a fair point.

If you can put in place a system your business can be safe. Look at barbers and hairdressers. Most appointments are at close range for over 15mins and they arent a hotspot for covid spreading.

MM said regarding travel, people are advised not to travel in/out of county Dublin, except for essential work and for educational reasons.
That's not as strong as prohibited from travelling in and out.

The current approach reminds me of the war on drugs. Surely to shut down house parties and big uncontrolled congregations in people's houses you instead provide safe controlled environments in pubs and restaurants...eh no we will instead leave people no social outlet but to instead congregate in their homes, bloody idiots.

It might seem like overkill but RTE should be showing every press briefing live on RTE One. Shuffled away on News Now is a big strategic failure to get the message across.

The one household 6 people limit is confusing.

Can I see my family who do not live with me?

Can my parents mind my child?

So is this going to be like before when Gardai turning people back on the roads? I haven’t seen anything about this yet.

Ah look it a wedding is a big thing here.

Great times now to curtail all the mullarkey, with due respect to the peripheral industries involved.

Does anyone say WOW we are invited to a wedding, up country, three day event the works. Can't wait for the craic. Doubt it personally, even pre Covid.

If it is only one household at a time then it's fine but a max of 6 people from that household.

Sam McConkey said back in March that we could have 20,000 dead. That was averted by lockdown then and it'll be averted again by this one.
