Seems absolutely retarded that they dont even ask for a rough idea of the public places a person might have been in the past 5 days for contact tracing.

Just a simple "what hotels, restaurants, matches, cinemas, pubs etc have you been to in last 5 days". Even ask them to email on the info if they dont have it to hand immediately etc.

What's gonna happen in three weeks time when the cases keep rising and they realise that they've been clutching at straws and pubs/restaurants are not the cause of the spread? Open them back up or spin the yarn that it's now far too dangerous to allow a re-opening?

I'm curious how the rest of the counties will fair. Dublin is just ahead of them. Will the pubs opening in the rest of the country reduce new cases or increase?
He'll be back on tv in a few weeks with new restrictions to other countries!

I mean, surely people aren't having dinners all over town and expecting that won't spread it. My family all meet at a distance outdoors.

Thought the restriction exemption was based on the guest numbers remaining at 50 instead of reducing to 25.
At this stage I’d say the venue will interpret this themselves, maybe best to ask them

There is apparently a system to ramp up as required. I've seen a number of 250 extra being available.
