Yes but don't assume it's all people with sprains attending A&E testing positive. Could be people rushed to hospital with breathing difficulty and obviously been tested.

There's a consensus that most hospital cases are just asymptomatic people testing positive when they could be alot more serious.

I'm also curious to know the hospital capacity for daily tests. Can they actually test every single admission in their lab?

Nobody is assuming it's all people attending A&E, simple point that hospitals are picking up more cases in their labs which they are.

Admissions are supposed to be tested yes.

It's a start for sports attendances, would have liked to see 500 but 200 is a start

A number of counties are level 1 and should be allowed 500 at least?

What exactly has changed in the few weeks since the last county lockdowns when the public were generally behind restrictions in areas of high spread? This seems like a very defeatist attitude.

Nothing has changed. It was the wrong decision then and it's the wrong decision now.

Ah there's plenty on here downplaying hospital figures.

Admissions are recommended to be tested. But with hospitals trying to get back to elective surgery etc... I'm wondering if they have capacity? When covid wasn't as rampant in the community a few months ago, there was very little risk in hospitals, that they could do a risk assessment on who to test etc.. these days they would certainly want to be testing everyone admitted to a Dublin hospital.

Are all counties bar Dublin not starting at level 2 from midnight?

I don't think there's any kind of consensus on that. Seeing how mild most cases appear to be I would say many people's initial thought is that somebody who goes to hospital with it has it pretty bad.

Glynn was asked about hosptial testing in terms of admissions when it was asked why aren't these being tested he was fairly clear that they should be. He was surprised at the suggestion that they weren't being tested.

    Capacity wise I've no idea.

What a joke this government is

Limits still 4 times lower than Northern Ireland as majority of venues won't have 5000 capacity

    No real change at all

Bout an extra 20 people per game

If true, it's a mockery of the scale.

Ah OK I picked that up wrong

    That's a bit better alright

Still lots of grounds under 5000 so it's really 100 fans

Michàel Martin is ok but I found Leo to be far more engaging and able to connect with the public better.

Wouldn't be a fan of either but Leo was far better at engaging. Martin is awful
