It doesn't mean there active cases and we've no idea what percentage are any way sick. It's a pointless number and provides no meaningful data.

    :)

    They are active cases

But you need to tell places that now. Not wait till the night before

They've already been told last week sure with the caveat of anywhere with local restrictions doesn't open and we all know where might have local restrictions.

It'll all be announced by Tuesday.

How are they when the PCR tests are picking up covid rna from possibly 11 weeks ago.
Positive covid doesn't mean active covid. I think the HSE even hinted the other day that the NPHET data doesn't reflect the situation on the ground.

There's a mistake at the top under briefing.

Dublins cases is 156 not 56.

Any cases announced in the last 2 weeks are classified as active cases.

Think the pubs in Dublin can forget about opening now. Be lucky to see Xmas at this rate.

Only restriction being considered appears to be reducing numbers in houses, 6 from 2 instead of 6 from 3 appearently.

That measure will do nothing to curtail case numbers.

No there positive test results, where are they shown as active covid.

Deaths being reported every day now and hospital numbers increasing.

Not a good time to be a covid-denier...

Nearly 400 more cases this week compared to last week. Will know tomorrow how many more tests was done, at a guess 8,000 more.

8 reported deaths this week and all seemed to happen recently. RIP to all.

Theyre moving Xmas to Easter and moving Easter to June/July.

    So you never know

So, we’re getting these results daily
But if you have been in close contact
    Depending on the exposure date
You get a test straight away and then another 7 days later

If both are positive, this is really only 1 case, is it counted both days , does anybody know?

If your a close contact and positive you aren't tested again

RTE reporting that Dublin is likely to be on a higher “level” in the new plan with restrictions also likely

Expected, the difference to now being the reduction in the allowed number of households mixing. That's level 3 of the living with covid plan.

    Better late than never.

Level 3 is essentially how it is now with just 6 from 2 households allowed in mix in houses instead of 6 from 3

What the people actually want in Dublin, what kind of restrictions. They can't close anymore businesses.

About a week late adding extra restrictions for Dublin.

Nor will they close businesses because they know they just won't reopen

Are shopping centers responsible, it's a long time indoors with a lot of people. Shopping center stores with kerb side access were originally meant to be the only ones open.

I think politically pub reopening will be delayed a week or so. I can't see them on Tuesday opening pubs outside Dublin while at the same time imposing restrictions in Dublin. I suspect the first sight that numbers are decreasing in Dublin, pubs will be given green light to open

Those of us in Dublin who have adhered to all restriction will once again adhere to any new restrictions . Those who quite obviously did not will again not adhere to any new restrictions . Its pointless now as the same people are just ruining it for us all

I've been seeing lots of people concregating within shopping centres having a chat and idiots stopping at the entrance door to rummage for their mask with about 40 people waiting behind them to get in. Also furniture for sitting around seems to be all available, I tought this was all to be removed?
