    What’s the story here?

KM79 announced his retirement from FPL (for this season anyway)

Considering sticking Bruno on the bench from the start....would that be madness?

Rest of Midfield is currently Salah,Son,Soucek and Reed.
I don't think it is madness, high chance I do the same.

Think my money looks a little more spread than yours though, as it stands I can still do 4-4-2 this week with Fernandes on the bench, with my cheapest MID still being Saint Maximin.

Weirdly enough, this is the year I am tinkering less than in any other season build up. Maybe tomorrow will be the same, or maybe tomorrow will be the day where I decide that everything that I have done is wrong.

Quick, let's peer pressure him into rejoining.

    Ah, go on

I can find out NOTHING about Aguero’s injury.

Well nothing from the last 2-3 weeks.

If they’d hoped he would possibly be back for the European game then surely he’s really really close now ?

    Especially with their delayed start.

You could play the sky game, it hardly counts!
Either way enjoy the matches and thanks for the updates last season!

Not me, he seems like too much of a N00b. Imagine leaving the house while games are on?
Or watching soccer Saturday? If you don't have all streams neatly displayed on your monitor and your phone in hand to refresh the GW thread on here, you're doing it wrong!

I always know my wife is desperate for conversation when she opens up with "So how's your team going in the fantasy thing".

Is Vinagre really a risk? I thought the transfer out had gone cold? Ugh need to find a last minute replacement now!

Why do so many people think your man Adams is going to play? He is one of 4 forwards at the club - looks like a transfer waiting to happen

Fair enough regarding the term 'season keeper' which, taken literally, is a rarity in an FPL team. I still believe come season's end his points total will be up there with the likes of Vardy and Kane, for 1m+ less, so I would hope he'll be in my team for decent stretches of the season. And given his post-lockdown form, and the positive reports of his France performances over the Nation's League break, I want him in from the beginning.

Then it just comes down to the merits of having him on the bench in GW1 or planning a transfer before a ball is kicked - I'm going for the former, for reasons explained in the rest of my post above.

After all my convictions, with 20 minutes to go I've gone back on my plan and brought Ings in. Unless he gives me something major to think about I'll do the Martial swap for GW2, and hope that no other transfers take priority.

This came after listening to the Scout podcast and realising just how high Ings' ownership percentage is. Don't want to fall behind from the off.

Good few options at that price, Holding, KWP, Justin to name just a few

Yeah, not a fan of him either. Champo striker at best IMO

Flip flopping between Son/Alli. I know what I should do but have a sneaky feeling Alli might do well

Is Smallbone likely to be a regular starter?

No, Armstrong and Redmond are ahead of him in pecking order.

He's ahead of Long and Obafemi in the pecking order and had good stats post lockdown. Decent team with good fixtures so that's why I went with him. Easy switch to another 6m option if it doesn't work out.
