Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Lol of course, he bends physics.

Jokes aside, that car is insane. Not a correction, not a twitch and the speed at which he can just throw the wheel one side to the other, especially in the fast bends, is staggering.

Unfortunately there's no telemetry data, but it's clearly audible he doesn't have to feather the throttle much either - plenty of traction available. Truly a mindblowing piece of race engineering.

Once again I have to mention Turn 4 at Hungary. On-board is good, off-board footage better.

    30 seconds in. Ridiculous.

Yeah, the Merc is on another level. How on earth do they have the PU being so powerful and so reliable? I know Lewis is talented, but the two together are fierce force to try and compete with.

I know, this won't be universally liked, but as a Marvel fan who was stunned by the news on Saturday morning I did appreciate Lewis's actions today.

F2 no rain yet to be seen.
Still lap 4 and second safety car. Depending on your sadism or masochism you want Dan Dicktum in F1

That moment from ghiotto at the top of eau rouge had my heart in my mouth. Dull day but doesn't like rain is likely at all for the moment.

To be fair he is entertaining and keeping the guys behind with a broken front wing

Sainz out with some sort of exhaust issue. Gutted.

    Bring back the spare cars!

So, when's Croft going to start bullshitting about the threat of rain? I'll say lap 7, when the Mercs are 5 secs up the road.

No rain. Going to be another complete procession.

If they make it safely and in front through corner 5 they will run away with it.
One can live in hope that they don't.

    Is VET even trying anymore?

Leclerc flying up through the grid, VET just stagnant.

    Interesting radio there from Bottas.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,082 ✭✭✭afatbollix

Mercs not alowed to fight, Poor Bottas was told over the radio.

They should just show the mid field for the rest of the race.

That is all they are showing, mercs sponsors won't be happy!

If Bottas has any ambition to be a world champion he will ignore that.

Rosberg beat Hamilton by doing everything he had to do, rightly or wrongly.

Leclerc now going backwards. Vettel could take him yet.

Yep, drive the wheels off the thing and get back into DRS range, overtake and push him off the road if necessary. Being nice won't win you anything.

    Bottas has zero ambition.

Wins him new contracts, they don't want the boat rocked they want someone who is happy to be a number 2. Painfully obvious that Bottas hasn't got the balls to put up a fight.

Big smash there, good to see both back.

Might be an interesting restart at least.

Hopefully Bottas isn't fast asleep at the restart...

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,977 ✭✭✭TheDoctor

Said it a few weeks back. Tyres seem to be coming off much easier this year.

    Don’t like to see it.

Russell hit a tyre bouncing back from the original crash

  • Site Banned Posts: 12,341 ✭✭✭✭Faugheen

Jesus that’s a huge scare for Russell with the tyre flying across like that.

Thank god everyone ok. Let's see if Bottas can do something on the restart. Would like to see his onboard from the race start. he looked in a great position coming out of la source but had dropped back from ham by the time they got to the top of eau rouge.

Ferrari: we're looking at plan b or plan c at the moment
Charles: Which one? They're both completely different can you just tell me?

Gotta make the easy win seem as difficult as possible. It's always a "challenging" race with various "issues" for Hamilton when realistically we all know before a race weekend even starts that he's highly likely to win the race.

Or maybe he panicked when he didn’t need to.

    Some really sad people here.

I think that Bottas has accepted being number 2 in the team.
I have given up on him.

Thank God for Max, not much else of interest in F1 these days.
I think he has a real chance of second.

He always has to overcome some variation of adversity..
