This is the perfect chance for a heel Roman Reigns but the fans aren't going to boo him either

You see this is something Vince still doesn't understand. If he's an effective heel, fans will eventually cheer him. This is how he should have gotten over. Sufferin' Succotash isn't gonna do it

austin, rock , trips , cena , batista jesus the list can keep going all were heels before they became big time faces

hell it even happened with the shield the reason they got over was they were bad asses then the minute they split vince just made the exact same mistakes he did with the rock at the start of his career with roman and here we are 6 years on from the shield spilt and they still make the same mistakes

granted i do think there is always a thing were whoever wwe goes for as their will get **** on to some degree as ive done it myself

How many "fresh" goes at a push for Roman at the very top has there been? I think it's 5 (WM31, WM32, WM34, Summerslam 2018 and now)

I think it'll work this time, there's serious odds to overcome with him facing both Fiend and Strowman at the same time, how can we not appreciate that? /s

Now's the perfect time since he's guaranteed to get exactly the reaction Vince wants.

How long until we get a Retribution reveal?
Will it be at the hands of someone else? Will they reveal themselves over multiple weeks, Aces & Eights style or all at once?

I don't know, they could just have them beam back to their home planet never to be spoken of again, but they could do with getting a move on. It's dragging at this stage. But maybe that's just me.

Maybe the Hacker will reveal who they are.

One of them is Dio Madden for sure. Wouldn't be surprised to see Roman being unveiled as one of them either

Really? Genuinely feels like longer to me. Maybe because they're popping up on Raw and Smackdown.

WWE invasions on itself always work out well in the end and make new huge stars.

    Shield 2012 did

Nexes (2009/10 was it ??) Not so much but Daniel Bryan broke away from it. They tried way to hard remember when they put Vince in a coma and attacked Bret Hart

Invasion angle of 2001 ??? Suppose Booker T did well from that and a few others

I noticed there was one or two more big lads in the lineup in the last week.

Most of the intrinsic value placed on female wrestlers will always reside in their attractive looks whereas with the men you can be pretty hideous or out of shape and still get to the top of the game through charisma and being able to portray good fights. So, underpinning the women's revolution has still been a constant undercurrent of, "There's the girls, now. Aren't they lovely?"

Not to get into specific women's looks as eye of the beholder and all that, but while I'm sure it helps, we've also seen ones a lot wouldn't consider attractive in the traditional sense.

The Shield wasnt an invasion was it?

Daniel Bryan made it despite the awful Nexus debacle.

The Invasion was a disaster. WWE against WCW b team.

Judging by WWEs Summerslam..... they haven't high hopes for them......

The Radicalz had potential as a brilliant invasion angle. If Retribution followed that blueprint of having two potential stars, a Wiley enforcer ala Malenko and a few lower card lads capable of taking a pin while the others remained strong, they'd be doing well.

But their invasion lasted 2 episodes at best before they 'signed.'

The Shield definitely had an Invasiony feel to it and I'd easily argue it was one of the most perfectly booked storylines from start to finish in modern day WWE.

You learn something new every day Ronda Rousey's mother was a world Judo champion.

    A random thought...
It's crazy to think how big certain wrestlers are in real life but, while they look good in a WWE ring, their size never truly comes across.

Point in case take John Cena. Looking at him in a WWE ring you can see the boy works out. No question. But see him in other things such as the new suicide Squad trailer and you truly see how huge the dude is. He is a walking action figure.

Then all the travel they do and the still look like that is even more amazing

Per night only in the ring for max 15 mins but its as physically demanding as it gets. Doing the moves safely is another job in itself, then Gym work and in ring practice

Cena is in great condition always has tbh, from live events i've seen in the past Randy Orton is huge (doesnt look it from the TV)

I thought that about Carlito when he appeared in GLOW, in fact I was only about 50% sure it was him because of how big he looked compared to the normal people

i met a few wrestlers years ago, sheer size of them is impressive but what stood out for me was Ezekiel Jackson stopping to sign autographs, he had a bunch of bananas in his hand easily 6/7 on the bunch, he put them in his armpit while he took pictures and signed.

and there is no way you could tell they were there, his arms were just that big he made them disappear
