Can I see six people on Monday?
Can I see six different people on Tuesday?

Dozed off during the pub question, can't these people ask questions without a 2-minute monologue?

I give up. Hospital figures are trending up. People think it's ok as the deaths and ICU are stable. We don't have an endless supply of hospital beds and currently have people on trollies due to lack of beds. The answer.... Blame the HSE and government and totally ignore the increase in cases is driving the hospital admissions.
To be fair, a 3rd of people on trolleys are in 2 hospitals (CUH and UHK account for almost 40). Most have no people on trolleys.

What if we banned anyone working in a meat factory from drinking in a pub?

Could we use Kerry as an experiment, open all pubs there for a month and then assess the numbers.

Good job we're heading into the quite time for hospitals!
Let's bloody hope flu season is mild like in Australia with the current measures for covid.

Not having a handle on his brief would be my answer. Remember Harris was at the end of a 4 year stint in Health.

No deaths in a week and thousands of cases lately

    What's going on?

It takes time for deaths to come. Doesn't happen quickly.

Just seen someone went to work in a Care home after a Covid diagnosis. That should be jail time.

Is it normal that there is nobody from government at the thursday evening briefing?

I like when we think we know all the docs who are there and then one answers a question a good bit into the briefing and it’s like “oh hello!”

There's been plenty of time for deaths to come but we haven't seen what would have been expected.

As mentioned here last night, we're testing way more now and it's obvious that we had way more cases than recorded earlier in the year.

This virus isn't as lethal as initially thought.

The first case was on 28th feb im sure and by april 1st there was14 dead. So call it 14 in one month. So deaths dont nearly take as long as people are saying unlessee assume it was here alot earlier....which makes more sense.the deaths started mid march so nearly one per day.

Deaths this week could be reported in the next three months, doesn't mean there aren't any.

Yea but what are they in hospital from? Direct result of catching covid? We're only hearing half the story.

I wonder are these just people getting tested for hospital procedures & then showing up as positive for Covid.

The delayed reports are few and far between, so although that could well happen, these won't account for many deaths.

They came out with all these scary stat's without having a clue in March and everyone took it as fact

    5-20% hospitalisation rate
    2-3% death rate

    It seems more like

    .5-2% hospitalisation rate
    .2-.3% death rate

10,000 cases a day in March when every man and dog had it seems very likely now

A man that retorts to questions like a teenage girl shouldn't be a politician. He obviously has some sort of complex.
