I demo'd one of those notes in 2008 for a few weeks. Surprisingly capable. They're like a TARDIS inside.

    Heck, dont do that.

I know someone who put up 100k+miles on one from new. They were happy with it. Very little went wrong tho there was an issue with the setup of one of the back wheels which I suspect was similar to the issue frequently found on the Leaf 24.

Between the incredibly low mileage and fresh NCT from Saturday, that would make a lovely buy if it checked out

The Insignias are renowned for issues
Also, the car last changed hands ony 1 month ago, so eyes wide open if viewing this one

They usually self combust at the most inconvenient times. This one seems defective. It hasn't set itself on fire yet.

Does the vauxhall badge accelerate that combustion process??

I think Insignias had thermal incidents too didn't they?

    Insignia diesels.

You’d have a stronger engine if it was made of chocolate.

Having driven one for a few days they’re actually grand. They shouldn’t be given a small petrol engine in a big car but I can honestly say the car pulled nicely up the road. Wouldn’t be an issue for the average driver plus that would be the most reliable of those Mondeo engines.

They did but they denied those too.

Did they? I never heard about them. The oil feed problem is well known at this stage, early models had gearbox problems but seemed to be resolved on later models.

08 1.6 Kia Ceed Diesel. One owner for the last 12 years. Less than 100K mileage. Tax until December. NCT until next February.
No interior pics and a bit of a scrape over the right rear wheel arch.

I've no idea about these tbh. Are they good, bad or indifferent?

I'll concur with that. Had one for about a week as a courtesy car through insurance after my Vectra was totalled back in the day. No rocket but it was actually more nippy than you might imagine and perfectly adequate for keeping up with the slow moving traffic in this country.
Was too young and busy at the time to be worrying about fuel consumption but probably was not super alright.

Have that engine on my banger 07 c max
In four years only oil ,plugs and filters needed regarding engine
Engine is bulletproof and thirsty on city but average in motorway
Gives its best around 5000 rpm
    Is enough for normal driving
