according to comic relief and the likes, 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in a life time.
Now it's not contagious but it's hugely prevalent across society.
As with cervical cancer, we've seen, it's very time sensitive too. With all the back logs and log jams as they say, wouldn't t his be a ****e site worse in terms of a disaster?

Does anyone know how many of these under 45 are requiring hospitalization?
Are they still telling us the ages of the hospitalized? the ages of the ICU folk?
or indeed are most of them getting away fine just being at home talking disprin?

And where is that pub located?

How I hate that awful phrase "wet pubs" I wonder who came up with it? Rte seem to be very fond of using it. Very subtle connotations of drinking dives full of soaks

It's derived from "wet houses", where people with addictions and who are homeless can seek refuge and be allowed to drink. There's no subtle connotation about it either sir that's what people are being equated to - indeed in this thread alone you'll find plenty of references to alcos.

But I guess that's society for you; everyone has a need to be able to look down on their fellow man and Coronavirus has just exasperated that.

Since the very beginning the media have been pushing certain words and phrases. It's social conditioning and indoctrination.

Until the age of 16 I was in a cult, i recognize the buzzwords and phrases a mile away, when I hear them on the radio I almost freeze. I've been through this before and I can pick up on these things instantly.

You think the media are trying to condition us? And indoctrination into what exactly?

They have been closed down again in Co. Kildare.
They should close their business and banks will no longer get their money.
Why would anyone bother being a sole trader or a small business in this dump of a country.

If you don’t think you’re being conditioned for:

No mask - no entry into this shop.
No mask - no entry without a vaccine.
    No vaccine - no travel.
    No vaccine - no job.

It means the conditioning is working on you. Because it’s as clear as day.

People should stop worrying about this mythical guy in the country with no friends or family and only means of outlet is the pub in the ar5e end of nowhere. If there are any, they will find something different to do if pubs are closed. Amazing how he is always puled out when discussing getting round things like rural drink driving etc. He is a caricature, an extreme, and Ive never met one.

Yeah they're just pulled out when people want to push their own agenda whether It smoking, drink driving and now pubs closed due to COVID. He's just a cover for people making their own selfish argument to open pubs.

If anyone cares about the little auld fella, or anyone else, they should support funding and advertising for safe alternative ways to socialise now and during the winter when the days are short weather isn't good.

What if the oul lad doesn't want to be patronised or coddled? Maybe you should bring your idea directly to the oul lads of the country of how to better themselves and see what kind of reception you get.

Maybe some sort of knitting club for the oul lads?

Honestly, I’m withered from these people coming on here patronising the rest of the country on how it should live.

Thats the reality of the situation. There's no guarantees on a vaccine and even if there is its at least a year away. People who only go to the pub to socialise need to find new ways to meet up with others, be it mens sheds or going to GAA matches or some other outlet to get out of the house.

I think it hasnt dawned on a lot of people yet that these pub closures could go deep into 2021 or even further. Schools & universities are set to re-open next month and lets face it there are going to be clusters out of that. Plus we will have the usual winter flus going around too. I doubt we will see the drink only pubs open this year.

ah dry up , flu won't have a hope with masks etc

The idea that alcohol is this absolutely toxic part of our culture needs to die tbh. Binge drinking while fun has its downsides, alcoholism is a scourge but drinking alcohol in and of itself is one of life's beautiful little pleasures.

I will not go into those restaurants that stop me at the door and start asking me questions.
Lots of restaurants make it a pleasant experience. And charge less than the "earnest" restaurants.

Ah. If he doesn't want to be patronised and coddled then he doesn't need the pub reopened for him. So he's grand and we can stop campaigning to open the pub for him.

In the meantime, we should make available, fund and promote alternative methods to safely socialise for everyone else and we can all stop worrying about your little auld fella. Right?

So no need to advocate for pubs reopening if you're so afraid of patronising people.

Why don't you explain what the conditioning is for? Get us to get a vaccine so they control our minds? Why do that if that's what 5G or the chem trails is for Gemma?

I’m far from a conspiracy theorist or a Gemma. To be honest I do like to keep an open mind on all things but I’ve yet to see a conspiracy theory where I’m convinced.

This thing is far far different. It’s unfolding in front of your eyes. Bit by bit they’re eroding your freedom. It never happens in one go. It’s always in little steps. They’re telling everyone there’s this huge pandemic yet the numbers are low, hospitals are empty and I don’t see those huge purpose built morgues full with bodies.

I’ve seen the same footage from “hospitals” on multiple news reports from the same camera, same angle, same “doctors” but the news report says it’s China, Italy, America.

If you don’t think someone’s trying to control the narrative well then I don’t know what to tell you.

Wake up maybe? That probably sounds a little condescending but you need to look beyond the mainstream media narrative that’s being rammed down our throats right now.

For starters do some googling, look at the thousands of doctors out there who don’t agree with ANY of this....that’s if you can because as soon as these articles/videos are uploaded they’re censored/deleted by the medical experts that are known as Facebook and google.

As far as I know dr. DeBrun is still active on Twitter, go seek him out.

Or do nothing, swallow all of the lies and get used to the new normal.

So it’s all a big conspiracy? Why didn’t they just get the lizard people to put mind control drugs in the water?

Why is it if people question and research things for themselves, they are "conspiracy theorists"? Surely after all these months, you are starting to question what is really going on? when our freedom is being taken away bit by bit.

    The truth is out there.

    Mulder and Scully were right.

We need William Wallace to lead us to save our freedom.

Questions like, do you have a booking? Or would you like fries with that?

What exactly are you talking about?

I like to call it critical thinking. As far as I know the term conspiracy theorist was invented by the FBI to discredit people who thought the JFK assassination didn’t go down like the gov said.

Thought it was in already, place I went Wednesday night closed at 11pm

Anyone reckon restaurants/food pubs will be closed within the next 2 weeks ? Very hard to see wet pubs opening on the 31st August

Ah yes "critical thinking" thats the new label most conspiracists like to use nowadays.

I don't really get you? Taking the first one, I know they want me to wear a mask to the shop, are you suggesting there is an ulterior motive as opposed to stopping the spread of covid19? The they is still the media here?
