No masks in Sweden and society has not collapsed like some suggested it would. If no masks is good enough for Sweden then it should be good enough for Ireland.

    Masks in Ireland though...

You are free to go there with your society collapsing strawman.

    No: I don't care enough

Which should be plenty for people to take it seriously. Nevermind that people who are infected, even healthy people, even athletes, suffer crippling lung and heart and even brain issues after infection.

Because nobody has to be told to wash their hands and most of not all employers, even yours, require you to wash your hands. There isn’t a range of covidiots out there saying (fortunately) that washing your hands does nothing. They’re washing their hands, so leaders fortunately have not had to step in.

But you continue to refuse to wear a mask to protect others. You’ve said categorically earlier in this thread you don’t care about infecting other people. So the leadership should need to step in if selfish people like you will hide behind “it’s not the rules” so you can continue to endanger others.

It is reccomded to wash your hands in work not required. Only sector I'm aware where hand washing is required is food handling and medical sectors.

The leadership, leave the country, compliance, do as your told, wear a mask, trust the government. A very tolerant Neo-Marxist society you're creating.

Are you not washing your hands then because some manager or sign hasn’t told you?

Sounds like you have overdosed on the internet. Go out for some fresh air. Mask or no mask, your choice.

Why should we. Is freedom of expression or dissenting opinion not allowed in the Neo-Marxist society where Facebook and Twitter are your overlords?

    Yes: homemade
That's not true. There have been spikes and increases in cases since masks have been mandatory. It is a simple statement of face that there is no direct correlation btw masks and a reductions in the number of cases.

Yes, it is true. Catalunya was the first place to introduce it after outbreaks in Lleida.

As you know, I live there. I'm a tad more clued in that you.

Dissenting opinion is great but things still have to make sense. This antimask thing is one of the most ignorant crusades I have ever seen. Tragic.

More likely, going by his attitude to masks and admitted disregard for the health of others, he'd stop washing his hands if told to wash them.

You can dissent in your opinions but not in your compliance with laws on public safety - whether masks, drink driving laws, NCT, driving without a licence or smoking in public places.

Even John Stuart Mill would have agreed that the state has such legitimate authority to protect citizens from the risky behaviour of others.

Also in a free society we can describe your behaviour as selfish and reckless.

Oh right you `re not even particularly bothered about washing your hands now. You really are the gift that keeps on giving.

Masks were introduced because people were dying not because of cases. Please tell me your not one of those people who lives in Barcelona and thinks they own the place?

Masks would have been introduced everywhere in January/February except for the global shortage of PPE for healthcare workers.

Give us a break perhaps. Not being on Twitter or Facebook and knowing we aren't anything like a Neo-Marxist state I still can say you have to abide by the rules of the society you are a part of until you do something to change them or live in a society that agrees with al, your views.

Which turned out to be a tragic error.

The countries that didn't spread misinformation about masks and encouraged people that homemade was better than nothing, fared better so far.

They were mandatory in China where this started

It's a requirement in every sector after you use the bathroom.

Yep. The feared scenario was hoarding and price hiking (which happened anyway, a portion of which was prosecuted) and PPE was even raided from hospitals. Health practictioners were wearing trash bags and there were the huge drives in the maker communities to make face shields as a less bad alternative to nothing. Even in June PPE shortages were still being talked about and by July i was shocked to see stores start offering surgical masks to Joe Public when at one point they were selling for a few dollars apiece.

What concerns me is the ubiquity of papery surgical masks which are fairly ****. Low standards abound.
