In about four weeks time they'll be announcing the guests for the first Late Late Show in the Autumn.
    My predictions are
    Micheál Martin.
    Some Doctors and Nurses.
Somebody who had a bad time with Covid-19.
Somebody who had a family member pass away from Covid-19.
    The head of the HSE.

    What are your predictions?

    Wish list:

    Tom Hanks
    Emily Blunt
    Jacinda Ardern
    Dr Michael Ryan
    The Dalai Lama

Actually, I wouldn’t want to put them through all the goofy, bonkers fun...

Most likely, based on the RTÉ “why change a winning formula” approach, with an acknowledgement to the Sun newspaper

    Dermot Bannon
    Pat Shortt
    Mario Rosenstock
    Bernard O'Shea
    Nathan Carter

    Reserve team:

    Michael Harding
    Jason Byrne
    Daniel O'Donnell
    Oliver Callan
    Francis Brennan
    Mike Denver
    Mairead Ronan

    Looking forward to it

I doubt that'll ever happen. It's one thing giving the National Party airtime on a programme for political anoraks, but giving fascists the oxygen of publicity on the Late Late Show would be a huge mistake.

    Live band interval: The Coronas.

Marty Morrissey and the big dyed head up on him does some mad stuff from his garden shed.

Sorry, I’m coming back for seconds.

It struck me that Noel Kelly might have a hand in the guest list. If so, and of course the LLS is hosted by a top talent from Noel’s stable, the line up might include

Claire Byrne - to talk about her move to the Today Show as the replacement for Sean (never mind how good Sarah McInerney is as the host)

Joe Duffy - to reflect on the deaths and misery of C-19

Kathryn Thomas - with special surprise guest Ellie

Lottie Ryan - on surviving the lockdown

Or whoever else they could trap in a corridor just before the show started.

The days when Gaybo could get likes of Peter Ustinov to hop on a plane to fill in for a missing guest are long gone.

The Noel Kelly 'International Talent' Management Agency brochure is here
    https://www.nkmanagement.ie/uploads/7/3/5/1/73514907/nk_management_2020_talent_brochure_.pdf

Over 60 RTE celebs there to choose from

Handy to keep a track of how many of them make an appearance on the Late Late for the upcoming season. Of course Bryan Tubridy will already be making weekly appearances. Its just a question of how many of his Noel Kelly 'International Talent' Management Agency stablemates he will interview.

People around here seem to have a misty-eyed view of old LLS guestlists, I imagine if you took a look through one from any random season from the seventies/eighties you'd probably see some of the same names pop up a few times a year, Jamie Lee Curtis and Richard Gere were on LLS in recent years, so I imagine Ustinov was an outlier and it wasn't Hollywood A-listers week after week.

    All good shouts.

Covid and the health workers guaranteed a place.

They will get a few teachers in there somewhere to talk about the 'new normal' in our classrooms.

Rest will just be the usual suspects. Whoever is around the canteen that day.
