    Mix and match last week. 1 session in the baths (not a fan), 1 in the pool (has its place) 2 in the lake. The pool is 10mins walk from my house. The lake is 35km. In spite of the time difference and driving costs I will still hit the lake at least 3 times a week. There is no other combination of exercise and environment that can have me energised right through to 11pm after a 6am start - cold water therapy

    Yeah, all registered. Should be pretty straightforward. Going to set myself a target of having it done within 13 days, to make it a bit more challenging

    I'm registered to do the 3.9km swim in Killary Harbour at the end of September, so can use this as a bit of training, while doing some fundraising.

    Battle of Carlingford yesterday, it was a real treat to finally get to swim/race/gather again. There was a strong tide in our favour, so times were super quick all round. My watch is set to buzz every 500m and I checked times in disbelief...7:30, 7:30, 7:10, 6:xx!! Water was smooth and quite warm. I chose an older wetsuit which has been ripping lately, and despite my dental floss sewing skills it ripped again (and came to pieces when I stripped at the end!)
    Anyway, it was a real ding dong as swimmers were tiring throughout, others were going strong. I started to hurt around the 5k mark and slowed generally over the last km, but happy with the time (1:55 for 7.6k which tells the tale of the current!) and happy too with the whole experience.
    Well ran race from Infinity and a beautiful part of the world.
