Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hopefully. Between all the different comps it's been a busy few weeks here. ;

    Hate video interviews

Are people going to use the same examples for the online videos that are our applications, or should we make new examples?

Do you think, if successful at this stage, we will just have one final interview? Doesn’t really make sense then to use same examples for both stages?

This is a very tricky one, like what do you think is there any point in using the video interview to just restate what was on your form?

Yeah I would imagine it would be straight to final interview after these video interviews, unless of course there is also another stage to do the tests again under supervised conditions.

What did you end up doing? New examples or form examples? My form for AP open uses the best examples i have of competencies so I would want to use them.

Has anyone enquired when results will be or what are the next steps?

I haven't but I think it will be quite a while yet. Last year it was I think 4 weeks from submitting video assessment to email of results.
There is also an ao comp running and they were submitted two weeks before ap and the results haven't issued for that yet.

Has any one heard anything since on results being issued? I emailed the other day but heard nothing back. Thanks

    Nothing.

Though the AO comp got word yesterday and their video interview was due on 25th May. We were 8th June so 2 weeks behind that. Could be waiting a while yet!

The last panel is up the end of this month, so unless it's extended you might not have too long to wait. Last year as far as I remember the panel started on the day the interview results were issued. I don't know how much movement there was from this panel overall, the year before there was a lot of movement. There is only two weeks left on the current panel.

The 2020 panel has been extended. I've no detail on when it expires but have it on high authority that it will remain in place after july.

So no immediate panic to start a new panel.

That's great Nazzy, I was told earlier In the time that it would probably be extended due to only recruiting for critical posts during covid, but heard nothing since, although panel has moved in last four months. If you are still waiting for a position to come up, best of luck. I wonder about Dublin as an option post covid, as with working a lot of the time from home, it might make it more doable for 1/2 days a week and put in for a transfer. Especially at this grade, where its not a clocking grade.

So a few people appear to have gotten results today but I know a few that havent.

Perhaps only Dublin people got results. Anyone hear anything?

Were the people who heard all either successful / unsuccessful or was it a mix?

No never got a response. A friend with Revenue told me youyou can check the status of competitions. On 7th July, the status was changed to “video assessment results to be issued” so hopefully we’ll hear this week

Have we any idea on the numbers of people who have progresed to the next stage?

I believe last year there were two interview rooms holding circa 7 interviews a day for two weeks (140 interviews). So probably similar this year.

Does anybody know if this panel finished today for 2019 placings or was it extended?

Did anybody who got through to the next stage hear back from Revenue?
Hopefully there won't be any more stages before the interview...did anybody do one of these interviews before (sorry, new to this) and what was it like?
    Thank you...

Presumably everyone's on holidays and the campaign will be back up and running in a few weeks?

Last years panel has been extended until 30th September, so probably not as much of a rush with this one, but still that is only 7 weeks, so should hear soon enough.

This extension is not really great news for those waiting for an interview. With the probable austerity budget 2021 scheduled for October 2020. There may be no jobs at all coming from this panel when they finally get to the stage of pulling people of it.

Revenue continued to recruit to fill critical posts (which compliance managers would be) during the last protracted recession. They are currently going through a period of substantial numbers of retirements due to the particular demographics of the organisation. There'll be lots of posts filled from the panel formed on foot of this competition.

Thanks for that info, I didn't know that Revenue still hired AP's during the last recession.
