I believe last year there were two interview rooms holding circa 7 interviews a day for two weeks (140 interviews). So probably similar this year.

Does anybody know if this panel finished today for 2019 placings or was it extended?

Did anybody who got through to the next stage hear back from Revenue?
Hopefully there won't be any more stages before the interview...did anybody do one of these interviews before (sorry, new to this) and what was it like?
    Thank you...

Presumably everyone's on holidays and the campaign will be back up and running in a few weeks?

Last years panel has been extended until 30th September, so probably not as much of a rush with this one, but still that is only 7 weeks, so should hear soon enough.

This extension is not really great news for those waiting for an interview. With the probable austerity budget 2021 scheduled for October 2020. There may be no jobs at all coming from this panel when they finally get to the stage of pulling people of it.

Revenue continued to recruit to fill critical posts (which compliance managers would be) during the last protracted recession. They are currently going through a period of substantial numbers of retirements due to the particular demographics of the organisation. There'll be lots of posts filled from the panel formed on foot of this competition.

Thanks for that info, I didn't know that Revenue still hired AP's during the last recession.

Always a few cringe moments ! But once you thought they were fair I think that’s a good sign !! Did they stick to your competency examples ?!

Usually I get the cringe moments on the way home after.
Good to have it out of the way.

    Hi guys,

Did you have any issues with Skype? All I get after selecting Join Skype meeting is All set! Your meeting will open in a new Skype meetings app window.
Did you get this message too or should I be worried My interview is not today though.
I can't handle another worry than the interview at the minute
    Thanks for your help.

I don't get this I get taken to the meeting and I'm the only participant in there obviously as my interviewers aren't there yet.

After it says will open on a new window, have you two options join via app or join via desktop. I clicked on join via app and that brought me in.

    Thank you guys,

I got sorted. Tried it on my phone and I was able to join the meeting immediately (I was the only participant) so then reinstalled Skype on my laptop and seems fine now, I hope anyway...

    Thanks again and good luck!

I was disappointed with mine too. I know its no consolation. But you aren't alone.

Snap! The more I go over mine the more of a car crash it becomes.

Try not to dwell on it. I've reconciled myself to having a worse result than last year and taking part in a 2021 competition if there is one.

Also, you could be one of those people who always does better than they think. Alas, I am not, fairly sure I didn't do enough this time around.

Thanks very much for your responses. My main downfall was that I kept being cut off in mid sentence which really threw me and I just simply wasn't equipped to deal with.Interviewers also looked for new examples outside of my application form and I got complete brain freeze.I think I have reconciled myself to next years campaign as well but best of luck to all.

Perhaps you had given enough of an answer and they had that box ticked you wouldn't know. Though my interviewers were very good to explain at the beginning not to be offended if we hurry you along.
No more can be done anyway. I'm glad to have got this far and have the experience under my belt of the interview. And relieved to have it over and done with.
