    I thought polio was an odd comparison to make. No one in the west has worried about polio in a lifetime. And even if immunity fades then it can just become a jab every few years. It's not really the Gordian knot he's made it out to be.

    So is this ''don't go but go if you want, wink, wink''? Who decides what's essential or not either?

    Good point.
    We will be living alongside Covid19 for quite a while,if not Indefinitely.
    I have heard of people convinced when this first all "blew up" that it would all be over in a few weeks.
    Major business decisions were made on that presumption.
    UK believe everything will be back to "normal" by Christmas?
    Unlikely.
    The way are lives were pre March we won't be seeing anytime soon I fear

    No, travel from NI to Ireland was already allowed.

    Yes other professions do experience that- like those working in domestic violence refuges, children’s residential units, homeless residential units, psychiatric facilities for adolescents and direct provision centres to name a few.
    Employees work with children for way more than 6 hours on every workday & as far as I know these facilities would not have any state of the art ventilation systems in place

    Exactly - no real thought put in to it bar lets look at some numbers,
    Southern Spain is safer than Dublin right now! And I think some of the islands haven't had a case in weeks (Tenerife etc)

    Gibraltar isn't possible to get to from Ireland without going through a country not on the green list.

    It's still in theory anyway non-essential travel. Fairly sure when Varadkar was on about list before new government that it was meant for holidays.

    Wonder will Michael O'Leary be announcing extra flights to any of the places on the list..!

    Cork Airport has flights to Bergamo (Milan), Naples, Malta and Budapest. 4 airports in countries on the Green List.

    Interesting to see if loads increase on these flights.

    Wouldn't mind a direct flight to Gibraltar, anytime I'm in the area I can't be bothered driving there and the queues
