Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Ok now that you 2 have filled us in with your scheduled extra curricular activities we will get back to the TT ;)

    The few sessions I have been doing have been going really well! Wasn't as hyped up for this as the other TT's but after today's session i'm feeling really good & now looking forward to testing out my ability! Hopefully we get some nice weather too...always a bonus :D

    Went out today to plan my route for next week.. Ended up bumping in to a county council van with rubbish on the back and spotted 3 lovely garden chairs. He said he'd leave them in a spot for me.

    Rang my husband to collect them... Had a bit of a back and forth while he asked why we needed them :confused: .

    Whatever about the Time Trial next weekend... I'm delighted with myself that I was able to call my husband, give instructions and have a full blown argument all at what McMillan tells me is my 10k training pace :pac: Which happened to be the pace I did the 5k TT at and I was half dead doing it :D

    Headed over the the Phoenix Park today to check out next week's 10k route (the National 10k / GIR course). I know the Park pretty well by now but I've never run this particular combination of roads, which offers a few sharp enough hills in the first half, and the North Road drag in the second. I'll have my work cut out for me trying to pace this one properly!

    That's 4 (5 if you round down Edinrunna's very specific distance) 10 minuters with a target of 2.8km! what's so popular about that length??? I chose it a little (very) arbitrarily...

    I looked to see what your target was and said "yeah il have that guy!" :cool:

    Its a realistc but stretch goal for me. I would love to do the 3k in 10mins, but its just not in my system, if i do the 2800m it will actually be faster than my Mile TT time from last one, so il take that as an improvement.

    (And perhaps will push on to see how long the 3K takes, but more than likely will pack it in as soon as the 10min pain train is over!)

    I'm gonna switch to 10k, didn't do enough to get ready for an assault on 10m with the 5k race last weekend.

    Got a cramp in my right calf that worsened over a number of days, and while I'm back running I haven't done anything faster than a jog for 2 weeks.

    Well if I do my run as early as I plan to on Saturday, i may be still under the influence :p you will still beat me no doubt!
