All pubs are open in 3 weeks.

I guarantee you will see those pictures.

How ?? Table service only, when the chairs at tables are gone the pub is full, no standing etc, Its not that hard to implement.

Anyone who breaks that in 3 weeks time will see themselves shut down quite simply, you'll be guaranteed the HSA will be watching like a hawk for the first week at least.

Nobody is going to want to be the place to get shutdown and secondly the bad PR that comes with it

    That's absolutely dreadful.

It's criminal negligence and ignorance that has led to this situation.

    No leadership.

Actually it's a virus that has led to this. Viruses are a fact of life and of nature.

How many pubs in the country?

How many HSA inspectors that will have to monitor every single industry?

I think it was 68, the vast majority in Dublin.

If there's images as you suggested then there won't be a need for inspections

In the Reported Island of Ireland Numbers sticky thread it has Monday at 4 cases and Tuesday at 6?

Was it not 4 and 10?

Are we at 30 cases this week (up to Thurs)?

Yeah I won't be rushing back to the pubs personally but can we at least give people the benefit of the doubt first?

People will be so glad to get into a pub say they would have no issue following the rules. It's up to the pubs not to let more people than the capacity with social distancing will allow.

Sure the damage will be potentially done by then.

To suggest that all pubs will adhere to social distancing rules is just pure naivety. To suggest it can be policed effectively is nonsense.

I imagine they will be first gone again if national restrictions come in again.

    Pints and Sense don't mix.

It's been fairly well reported that any future restrictions won't be national.

The virus won’t be eradicated so I’m guessing these figures will be the norm for the long term unless all the experts on the thread are correct and we get a second wave ;) I think we have nearly hit our bottom with the virus numbers but it’s still good if it stays like this.

With the amount of Yellow regs I counted today we're not going to 0.

Yellow reg's from the country to the north which barely reports 5 cases a day?

Just because there's no cure for Covid yet doesn't mean we won't see Zero deaths, Hospitals are very efficient at treating patients now, and with treatments such as that steroid then it should reduce the chances of dying.

    It's a fact?

Yeah if people are weeks in ICUs and then sadly pass for example, it means they will be last metric to decrease unfortunately. But hopefully we get down to as low as possible as soon as possible.

I was referring to virus numbers not deaths.

Amazing to see the cases consistently being so low, I genuinely never thought it could get this good so quickly. Despite all the outrage by some of the usual suspects on here, the vast majority of people took social distancing/hand hygiene etc. seriously and the low numbers prove this. I do think this is as good as it's going to get until we get a vaccine, and that cases will creep up again as more restrictions are loosened, but for now I think we're doing very well.

With a bit more concerted effort on the part of some, I'm sure we can get it to 0 soon.
