Still nothing on the Wicklow Dublin border. And looking at the radar, I'm not expecting anything either.

    Its on the way

It's out at sea. Saw a couple of flashes here in D13 (Ayrfield) but not heard thunder.

AROME and WRF depicted the reality of what happened very well. Despite those rubbishing them earlier hours before the forecasts were valid.

County Galway. Lightning flashing away pretty much every second now but thunder more distant. Wasn't expecting this so I am spinning around like a headless duck.

Strobing madly here in Sligo for the last 10 mins. Dense cloud lighting up every 2-3 seconds. Thunder very distant and indistinct. Rain getting very heavy.

A few weak flashes near Enniskerry. No thunder. The mountains are killing the storms advancing further north. Dublin won't get anything apart from a few sparks from distant storms over the sea.

Just looked at Met radar and what a joke. A a handful of random flashes thrown over a large area? it was constant and pretty much overhead for over half an hour and still flashing away as it is.

Echoes over Dublin absolutely tanked in the latest frame. Time for bed, too tired to keep up hope. Enjoy all who are having storms. NW and Wicklow/Wexford looks the place to be !!
