Is Leo giving a speech today regarding changes to the road map?

I assume his speech tomorrow will be based on the new government etc.

Cases yesterday all over the age of 65. I think that screams nursing homes, but that's just an opinion.

They make you fat. Obesity isn't good for this. But if you're like Ryan Tubridy, go for it.

Living in fear and a body full of stress isn’t good for you either.

Ah jaysus, you can't win here

Take away makes you fat = negative talk
If you're like Ryan Tubridy, go for it = positive talk

Not getting in to being wound up but as a single statement it was negative. Only order a takeaway if your weight is low enough to survive Covid, it was negative.

Now, time for the Ignore button,

Once again, you haven't answered a direct question. The fact that countries can't lockdown forever is irrelevant.

What do you know that suggests that lockdown hasn't been effective in suppressing the virus? The facts contradict this completely.

More likely to be tomorrow I'd say to confirm that Phase 3 is open for business. Could be looking at a new government (or not) next week.

It was a light hearted comment. Clearly not allowed here without people picking out the negativity in it.

That's not exactly happening anywhere in Europe. There are localised clusters.

I do hope all of these sensible people are packed into cold storage when this is over!

On a positive spin as to how well Ireland have controlled this, look at the tables and sort by "active cases" and "serious/critical". Compared to any of the larger nations, Ireland has done a Great job, so far.

Maybe I am being stupid but bear with me .!
If there are + 247 cases associated with clusters why are the new cases not showing this amount ?

Contact tracing takes a while so they are old cases

Takes time to link cases and identify clusters

RE: The increase in clusters - the number of cases counted as community transmission has fallen significantly in the past 3 days. Kudos to our contact tracers for tracing them to a cluster.

When do they announce which countries will have the travel restrictions eased?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,149 ✭✭✭Polar101

    "Thanks everyone, we won"

I guess that was the summary of the speech.

3 months ago I wouldn't have believed hearing that in June.

I'm delighted with the progress but at no time did they say we have won. They said we are winning but to keep fighting.

I'd say from next week or the week after if a government is formed by weekend

Badly needed but they will have to police it, €100 fines handed out will help.
