Imperial College London new study released today states that "High cortisol levels associated with greater risk of death from COVID-19".
For those of you who don't know, cortisol = stress.

Finland is allowing European travel to their residents from July 13th, to 13 European countries (in addition to Norway, Denmark and the Baltic countries opened before) - including Ireland. But not to Spain, neighbouring Sweden or the UK, for example. The criteria for allowing travel is the amount of virus cases reported in the destination country.

Sorry if this has been posted already but looks like at EU level they will still be restricting travel from high risk countries after 1st July. Good to see as could only work at EU level.

Good thread from Rubberbandits about wearing masks. Guess they're used to wearing a bag on their heads anyways..

Happy to stay at home once others go out and pay the taxes to support them, the funny thing is the accusations of selfishness to others is staggering and they don't see the irony or hypocrisy.

    From reading this:
    https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-finland/finland-scraps-coronavirus-quarantine-for-certain-european-tourists-idUSKBN23U2FY?il=0

We are allowed to travel to Finland with no restrictions at their border and Finns allowed to come back from Ireland with the same.

Unfortunately if Finns come to Ireland or Irish come back from Finland we/they will have to quarantine for 14 days...

Actually the only mandatory part of the regulations regarding isolation is to fill out the form at the point of entry failure to do so incurs a €2000 fine once you fill it out you're grand. You might get a phonecall you might not, but you're allowed to make essential trips.

I see an old person around where I live who made a mask out of J-cloths. It's so sad to see.

I'm absolutely delighted that I lost my job and others are going out to work so I can stay at home and protect myself.

A bit of selfishness in us all.

Fair play to the EU for growing a pair. Excellent news.

I'm really not stressed but I guess you'd want figures to back up my claim.

I don't know where they live or where to drop off masks for them. Are there any causes or charities for helping people in need like this?

Fair play for acknowledging your hypocrisy and selfishness. Living off the sweat of another person's brow is prehaps one of the clearest examples of selfishness a person can display.

I'm starting to doubt all this. You said you see the person. So keep one handy for when you next see them.

I'm a week out of work. Was given no notice, and you want me in a job the day after leaving one job?

But yeah, this pandemic has brought some selfish people and I'm joining them, I'm not going to put myself at extra risk.

I had this in mind, and was carrying extra masks in case I saw them. But the day I went out with a different bag, I forgot to carry them with me and then I see them again.
