    Such a thing as indoor range for .22LR in Ireland?

    There's a covered 22 range in Balheary.
    The benches and the targets are under a roof, the distance between them is open to the elements.

    Great little setup.

    I'm sketchy on the details but the new National Rehabilitation Hospital has a new shooting range, I think it's indoors but not 100% on that. It's not open to the public AFAIK.

    Indoor ranges do away with the wind, one of the things, such as gravity that make shooting infuriating and interesting ?

    Plenty of ranges with covered shooting areas . Courtlough has covered bench area for 50 ,75 & 100

    Yep. Was out in the wind yesterday with a .22 and yep it was a bit “interesting”.

    Always fancied eliminating the wind factor in an indoor setting, just to see. Ideally a 100 or 200 indoor range :) but they don’t exist.

    The reason you won't find any indoor centrefire ranges is because of the health and safety compliance factors.

    There are two indoor ranges i definitely know of, but both are 25 mtr and limited to 22lr only.

    For the range to be indoor the range operators have to supply adequate ventilation, sound proofing, plus there is usually the need for expensive electronic targets among other requirements.

    Irish Shooting Sports in Knocknagoshal is definitely 100% enclosed for the full length of the range and is 50 mt long. Fabulous facilities for rimfire shooting and has 6 or 7 separate shooting stations.
    Great place to zero eliminating all wind factors.
