Vibrations from the stage landing. That's what they said before as a reason why that happens.
Why not build a smaller drone ship with a camera on it 500m away then? The boosters landing is the most priceless publicity money can buy, they're so impressive.

Getting the crew safely to space is the only real consideration. Landing the booster is great but very much a secondary goal.

It is of course hence the focus on the astronauts. They've successfully landed a booster over 50 times.

Doug & Bob are flying it :-)

Obama administration approved the Commercial Crew Program which culminated in today. No way Trump could let Obama take credit.

And the extra 10-20 million that dont bother tuning in to see a regular launch but did for this because of all the publicity and humans on board didnt get to see it even though it would be a simple fix, massive missed PR opportunity.

Tacky as hell putting them in Model 3s aswell out to the pad aswell, The NASA RV wagon is a great tradition and shouldn't have been sidelined for that pure cringe.

Looks like it could be. Did anyone else see it to confirm? We looked but couldn't spot anything in the South.

I saw nothing but there's few videos on twitter of a silvery/glinting object moving near the moon over Dublin.

Pretty good, let's see what Trump's newly formed USSF (United States Space Force) can do in response to this private launch.
Ideally they'll be shootin' asteroids with lazers in no time from the TR-3B, and running a recon of Europa after a promising chemical signature over there.

it was below the moon so i doubt that is.

You wouldn't catch this on a camera phone. If so we'd all have seen it.
