A crowd of more than 200 mainly Brazilians reportedly dispersed by Gardai out on Sutton beach in Dublin

Feature on RTE of Irish swimmers.
They were southside though so presumably they're ok

Saw a fun one earlier. I was out for a spin on the bike, and had to slow down around Rathfarnham because a load of teenagers, maybe 10 or 12 of them were strung across the path on their bikes. From taking a guess based on what was going on it looked like an older man was giving out to them for being in a big group. I didn’t see it start but as I was going past (slowly as they took up the path and I wanted to be nosy) I heard one of the young fellas say “We can’t pass it on to people.” And as he said that one of his pals did a big exaggerated cough at the man. I mean, I thought that **** had died out a month ago.

Oh and at a first glance they all looked like kids that would be described as “coming from good families.”

What’s the delay in today’s announcement about?

The usual, its always about 15 to 20 minutes late.

This Karen thing is not working for me at all! Why not, say Grainne, Clodagh or Ciara?

Listening to the report on Drivetime about Nayo University Hospital still mixing staff handling Covid with non-Covid patients, and I’m absolutely appalled. This is going to play out as one of the scandals of the decade, more especially if we discover it’s happening in any other hospital. Almost deserves its own thread in this forum.

Can't say i'm surprised, the nursing homes and how they were not protected are an incredible scandal too.

It doesn't look like social distancing is happening there. Back packers in Australia attended a beach party on bondi beach and got ill and confirmed with covid19.

RIP, the 11 people who died

87% of all cases have recovered, which would be roughly 21,100.

Who was that guy (in the US, I think) who went around shaking hands with Covid patients to prove it wasn't worse than the flu end ended up dying from it? Then there's Boris...

Pastor landon spradlin or something... Wasn't worried went to mardi gras and died.

I think they can be some of the worst. Obviously not all of them but some entitled and not used to being told no or disciplined. That coughing stuff is disgusting.

It's becoming clear that they need to move the phases forward. Pubs are reopened on the sly and a a lot are distributing take away pints. Hair dressers all gone into the black market. And people buying clothes online. The big loser is the government.

Yes, roughly 1,700 active cases from confirmed lab tests.

Some pubs are doing the takeway pints but not a whole lot. There probably are some opened on sly too for people to go in but both in a minority. That hair dressers thing, I dunno it could be happening but again not in huge numbers. Government will still take VAT from clothes retailers online too.

Nope, we are the big losers. We are the government. Every man woman and child will pay for this , year's into the future through higher taxes and dwindling services.

Driving home from Work you can see the difference and amount of cars about.

Even people on the footpaths no isolation.

Well that's implied in my comment. We will ultimately pay for it.

It's just crazy now, compliance is completely evaporated and people voting with their feet.

Which is what a lot of people have been doing all along, instead of voting with their heads.

Good. Sense prevailing. Keep your granny locked up and look after. Let the world function again. Glad to see the scare tactics from Rte aren't working.

They don't have the same appetite to interrogate Ronan as they usually do for Tony.
