There's a realistic chance of a vaccine he won't go near it maybe he's hanging round with George Lee

Wonder where this hospital is? Said south. I know it's not Cork because Cork's hospitals are empty.

We aren't doing enough testing to accurately establish what the R0 is.

Those figures can't be accurate with the level of testing that we are doing.

So you're one of those misery junkies then.

Find it hard to believe that one hospital failed to report 300 cases like yano. I'm thinking it could it be Limerick.

    Total farce situation.
How with all this focus on the virus can this even happen.

We’re going to be the laughing stock of the world.

Reporting cases from March in May on the day of the big announcement that were in line to deliver 100k tests per week with a three day turnaround.

Oh my the irony of that.

You're just not getting how this works, are you?

Yes, curve flattened as designed. Job well done.

Keeping the curve flat is the next piece of work.

R0 they keep saying is an average, not an exact number. That's why they tend to give a range.

Opened safely obviously with the appropriate social distancing in place. No reason to hold back with these numbers.

Contact tracing on those delayed cases is now near useless. Someone messed up.

Like I said, with the correct social distancing in place other areas of the economy can start to open. We cannot live in fear forever.

Hadn't even thought of that. The 300 cases could explain some of the community tranmission cases possibly.

When did you start following this? He was overly optimistic in January and February and possibly early March..

Bit of a SNAFU OK. That would be hard to say for sure on contact tracing, hospitals have generally been faster in the whole cycle of testing.

But it seems to be going on forever. Why don't you answer my question instead of tripping me up on a technicality?

The technicality is fairly important ......

Not sure why journalists aren't asking how one hospital f*cked up so much tbh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 77 ✭✭Dpg21

Am I correct in assuming if these cases were never officially reported then there wasn’t any contact tracing done for any of these people? If so that’s quiet a big f**k up

We've only recorded four cases in the last eight days, and none today.

Well they didn't on testing, just maybe on reporting.

    No information to suggest that.

The journalists are obsessed with a letter from a month ago - more interested in stirring the pot.

    No questions about face coverings.

426 is a lot of new cases, in comparison to the decline we've seen in recent weeks. It seems like a major spike.

Surely if the HSPC isn't notified then contact tracing can't begin? Isn't that how the system works?

Just have a look at what’s been reported today.

March cases reported in May  equals a shambles absolute shambles

Mother of god it’s disastrous carry on.
