    Is that Delores again?

Still waiting for answers to questions from a poster, who regularly posts conspiracy theories in here, that was championing her earlier, but couldn't use Google to find the answers to their question regarding who is advising the government, and couldn't read the appendix of the link provided that answered them.

Since your a different poster, I'm going to just ask the last question and maybe you can answer it, because they keep avoiding answering.

Has your expert been infected with covid19 and recovered as certified by a medical doctor and what steps are they going to take to be infected if not and then prove that they can't be reinfected?

Edit just seen this so guess it'll be a no, again, on getting the question answered

Interesting interview with Elon Musk. It's quite long, but they touch on the COVID-19 situation at various points.

He is of the opinion that we should re-open our economies and get back to work for the same reasons that have been outlined here. Lockdown restrictions compromise our civil liberties, they are incredibly socially and economically damaging, people are scared to avail of medical treatment for non-COVID illnesses, hospitals are lying empty, and most people of working age and younger are not at high-risk of death.

Maybe Elon should get back to what he does best, wiping millions off his company for investors on the back of his insanity tweets.

Iceland also doing similar. But as Martina mentioned, how accurate are these tests going to be? If it is motivated solely on profit I.E. the government desperate to increase tourism as primary motivation, then we should be wary.

If this was an EU led initiative with public health
guiding such implementation of these tests , I would be more trusting.

Getting personalised Antibody Test results will be like getting your leaving cert results all over again. Unless it's going to be as accurate as predictive grades based on this year's Leaving Cert, in which case I wouldn't be so positive ...or negative!

And that's before the possibility of further waves

They's gone from something like 34 to 80,000 in 2 months though, and even if they are on top of it now (and many States may well be) it's probably going to be a long tail to the chart

I thought yesterday's figure looked quite promising, but they are back up to 1,500 today. LA County has announced they could extend their stay at home order until July. I guess it's such a big place it's going to be relatively easy for new clusters to crop up. I don't know how much internal travel continues, but the amount of internal flights do risk a rapid escalation

CNN are just saying Disney World (Florida) are taking bookings for July - that really could become a hot bed for this virus if something goes wrong

I know people do.complain about our plan and I myself think it's a little slow, and I've been critical of the HSE too.

But we are now at a point where one ssympt ok m gets you tested, we are starting to ease restrictions and hopefully it will go well

My OH who pays little attention to proper news told me earlier the US had less deaths per million than we did

He got a long lecture, the same guy is dieting as hes mildly overweight, taking vitamin d, and has started using online banking after years of resisting

On the positive side he's starting to enjoy gardening, we spend at least an hour every nice day working together in the garden, and he loves seeing the plants grow which is great for his mental health

I'd say you'd find more people with equivalent education and expertise saying the opposite, similar to the situation with Wakefield for example.

Smaller than Louth with a population of five and a half million. Could be a very ugly situation if they don't get something done pronto.

I dont understand the situation in Singapore,I think I recall somebody saying 80-90% of all the new cases are among the migrant working class, do these workers have absolutely no contact with the local population at all? What an odd society

We got the names of the medical experts advising the government but we didn't get any information on their political affiliations. So how will the hacks here know if they can trust them - since they're now dismissing scientists on the basis of which political party they belong to?

Covid-19 is showing that Singapore has much the same situation as wealthy middle eastern countries when it comes to migrant workers.
They are packed into overcrowded dorms. They don't earn enough to even dream of shopping or eating out in the same locations as the general population.

Sort of reminds me of an argument I had with someone who tried to point out the qualifications of a Dr Gerard Casey as a defense of his involvement in the condoms don't protect against hiv/aids stickers that were placed around Dublin in the early 90s.

Just because you're educated doesn't mean that you won't let your personal beliefs or the chance for a bit of political opportunity, dictate what you sell. Same as Andrew Wakefield and how many deaths from measles has he caused by idiots believing what they read online.

I haven't seen any of them going on YouTube trying to score a bit of political opportunity either however, but if you find the videos let us know.

Also it'd be nice if her hacks could answer some simple questions.

Countries Rolling Out Coronavirus Tracking Apps Show Why They Can’t Work
    https://foreignpolicy.com/2020/05/12/coronavirus-tracking-tracing-apps-cant-work-south-korea-singapore-australia/?utm_source=PostUp&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=21443&utm_term=Editors%20Picks%20OC&

    Summation,
'The only way to make coronavirus tracking apps really work is to accept the burden of false alarms and track every person, all the time, everywhere. This is only possible in a totalitarian state such as China, yet even the Chinese government doesn’t have the resources to implement such extreme levels of monitoring.'

Perhaps some enterprising journalist or evan a politician at next week COVID-19 Committee hearings will press the much venerated TH as to why the HSE are wasting resources on such a futile endeavour.

This one is not directly related but interesting in the big data dilemmas it raises.

I think the problem is people having a respiratory systems to begin with, is there anyway we can look at that, just a hypothesis but maybe if we didn't have respiratory system this virus wouldn't be a problem, it could just disappear, just a thought, maybe the scientists should look more into that.

Why is it always those who always scream loudest about questioning everything, not trusting the MSM, and everyone else being 'sheeple', are always the first to believe random stuff they see on the internet?

Why are so many people so quick to believe that these anti-malaria drugs are so magical just because a handful of doctors claimed to have had suspiciously positive results from them? Why put so much faith in them when there is so much mistrust in what the vast majority of medical professionals say?
