Someone with a white coat should take George off :D

He finished on a vaguely upbeat note, he definitely needs to be put under observation.

Not enough data, spread it out to the top 20!

Agreed. We'll throw Beasty in there too for #21.

For kicks, one person will get a different virus and we have to guess who & what.

The Cheltenham horse racing festival should probably not have been allowed to go ahead last month shortly before Britain went into lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Horse Racing Ireland CEO Brian Kavanagh has said.

New German study on viral load by age group.

'Based on the absence of any statistical evidence for a different viral load profile in children found in the present study, we have to caution against an unlimited re-opening of schools and kindergartens in the present situation, with a widely susceptible population and the necessity to keep transmission rates low via non-pharmaceutical interventions. Children may be as infectious as adults.'

More cases of inflammatory syndrome in children. Nearly 100 across a few countries.
    Possible link to SARS2-CoV?

    https://www.theguardian.com/society/2020/apr/29/more-cases-of-rare-syndrome-in-children-reported-globally

Edit: less than 5 cases of this illness in children have been reported in Ireland

Probably discussed already but only catching up with the news now. When Varadkar says that we're not there yet, what numbers are they actually looking for?

That's frightening. We need to get rid of this thing. We have to quarantine incoming people. We have to wear masks and stay locked down until we get to zero cases and then continue to enforce quarantine.

Reported by date. The by death date data shows a clear trend.
That is an excellent analysis and clearly illustrates we are past the peak

that's from the 25th, I'd like to see an updated graph, I've a feeling the peak will always be just behind us, using date of death figures. as he says "he orange line will be updated, especially for recent days, as deaths are reported."

I imagine the aspirations on testing and on turn around in reality don't match the propaganda we are been fed.

People going on about lifting restrictions probably not taking into account how unsafe people will feel now doing anything now.

a medical breakthrough is badly needed somehow.

Thanks. Link to where it's mentioned they're looking for below 100 cases per day?

I'm not getting a test done after this. I will however isolate at any sign of a cold/fever.

    "NEPHT"
    "NEPHET"
    "NHPET"

What is the bloody thing actually called?

    NPHET
    National Public Health Emergency Team

Could they have possibly come up with a better name/acronym for it?

Even if there is a complete lifting of measures, there won't be, people will take a long time to re-adjust.

Possibly, I wonder what the average lag on deaths appearing on rip.ie. I suspect that it is a relatively quick turn around, meaning that the blue curve is encouraging. An updated graph, would be informative.

Some good news. Those recovered patients that tested positive again in South Korea. The results were likely caused by the tests detecting dead fragments of the virus.

From what I can see new case numbers below 100 and being able to do 100000 tests a day which IMO is a fairly good way of dealing with this, we need to be able to manage and limit its spread and prevent another surge until they can develop a vaccine to treat the most vunerable.

Thing is some people are getting a bit of "cabin fever" from all this atm but I can see the next thing people giving out about is being unable to fly on their holiboppers I dont think were gonna see a return to normality until at least next year.

    100,000 tests a day? What.
Sure they promised 15k a day weeks ago yet only delivered 2 and a half.
