Something I'd never heard of but an interesting approach to data gathering, wastewater-based epidemiology.

The more some people ignore the temporary restrictions, the longer we'll be here. It's that simple. People need to realise that.
It's really a combination of the anticipated fatigue and the hope that has been dangled in front of us. Good weather hasn't helped in that regard either! It's also a reminder that we deal or cope with this in very different ways, a lot of it is a primal response rather than a reasoned one.

People need to take some responsibility here.

We're in a very difficult situation, and it is hard, but it's only going to be extended the more people take the piss and ignore the restrictions.

People use their reasoning to overcome the primal urges every day.

It really depends on your circumstances and how you are able to process something nobody has seen in 100 years. I think they have done to date but I can also see why people are wavering and trying to "jump the gun". It's why we have the daily warning and the more direct one yesterday of May 5 not being guaranteed.

Well whatever about people taking the piss in terms of increased movement in their locality.

I've just driven into Dublin city centre from Bray, a few more cars on the road but nothing majorly noticable for 8am compared to last week. Buses driving past with 1 or 2 on them and that's it. I'd compare it to a Sunday morning in terms of driving. That journey at 8am could take anywhere from an hour to 90 minutes depending on traffic. 20 mins this morning door to door.

Maybe it was different during the week and yesterday was a wake up call ?

That's all very fine and sounds reasonable but it doesn't change the fact that people need to cop on and knuckle down for a matter of weeks to try and ease this pandemic. 'Primal response' is BS, some people are just idiots and think they can do what they think is appropriate given their limited knowledge of how we are progressing.

Catch yourselves on people. Give it 12 more days and then see what easing of restrictions can happen. Otherwise we may be taking a step in the other direction.

Other generations processed world wars. I think we should be able to stay in and watch some Netflix in order to keep the vulnerable in our communities from dying alone in a hospital bed without any of the loved ones around them.

We all want this to be over, and I cant wait for life to be back to normal. It's the ones ignoring the restrictions that will be extending it.

A medical setting has always had mask wearing as part of its treatment management protocol. The recommendations here have changed to include more staff in direct contact with patients.

God almighty can’t you people see...He does it on purpose. Say some crazy ****e and watch it get wall to wall coverage for an entire news cycle. It drowns out his opponents such as dementia Joe. It’s an old New York advertising trick, no such thing as bad publicity.

You’ve got me thinking. Maybe Simon Harris called it covid 1+18 for this reason. Who knows.

Quick question, where do the general public buy masks?

That was only brought in 2 days ago. I’ve looked at the guidance doc. Insisting no PPE required for most situations in a hospital situation.
Wonder how many infections are directly attributable to that sh!te advice. Especially given that 27% of total infections are health care workers.

I am not disputing any of this but you do seem to be demanding that people behave like you. Many may not and and the mental challenge of this is worse for some than others. There are quite a few of the over 70s in our family sneaking out, guiltily, but out of necessity.

    Some pharmacies have them.
But if you don't really need a medical one consider making one maybe?

Health care workers come in many guises and are in many locations. Way back there was a doctor on Prime Time who said that 6% of front line staff had tested positive.

Im not demanding people act like me, I'm saying people should listen to the advice of the public health experts. We're all supposed to be pulling together in the same direction.

People need to take responsibility for their actions. Simple as.

Looking at this table is like looking at a table of football results in all competitions. Guess population has a big impact on football as well as pandemics. I wish we were that good at football though.

Seeing today that Covid-19 is apparently causing strokes for some people around 40+ who have it mild. My friend just had an unexpected stroke last week and he is 43.

    Was he okay? Thats awful

He really is the "brain farter" in chief. Who hasn't had a variation of that thought, but just kept it to themselves, because if there was anything to it, we'd be doing it already.

Many chemists now have them. Even Euro Saver type shops have them.

Anyone unfortunate enough to get this horrible thing needs one. Amazon sells them.

So it seems the US has just flown by 50,000 deaths as Massachusetts has reported 178 new deaths (highest so far for the state)

Took me bit of time to realize it, but Trump is not the problem. The people of the U.S. are.

My guess is that Trump's thoughts have randomly spewed out a concept that was first envisaged many years ago.

The use of hydrogen peroxide to oxygenate the blood.

I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT IT'S EFFECTIVENESS OR EVEN IF IT'S REMOTELY SAFE.

Bingo. He was winning in November in a landslide and may still because of Biden.

Then again at least people get the chance to vote unlike China.
