    Seen that it was serious injuries after a bad assault didn’t think he died, that’s horrendous.

    I've heard he died but hopefully it's just hearsay. he was critical though

    Even the wording in the reports with Tweets by Dublin Live & Mick it seemed a very serious incident.

    Jesus it’s a diffident world when it’s heat of the moment and sustaining seriously possibly life threatening injuries. Some live on a different planet. Cheers for that.

    Unfortunately people pull out knives with no real intention of using them. Problem is, sometimes the person facing the knife is an absolute mad man and will come at you regardless and then you either use it or get stabbed yourself.

    It's a very tight knit community down there, one thing I will say though regarding another poster mentioning that it's a 'hutch' area.

    There's a mix of hutch and kinahin supporters around there and the rest of Dublin 3 and 1, and 7.

    Never forget that. Never assume its clear cut

    Posted on a video showing footage from Ballybough tonight just flashing sirens in a grainy video but funny reply from the owner of the tweet.

    Well if you have a knife then you are half way there already, obviously it can be a deterrent in certain places but it carries that threat and the very real chance of use. Could be two lives destroyed in a heat of the moment job. Hopefully there’s no mortality at all and even worse if it’s such a situation with a split second decision.

    It's like when young lads carry knives for "protection" in rough areas, they might not intend on using it but if they get into a fight obviously they'll reach for the weapon in their pockets and all it takes is one thrust of the arm and you've killed someone

    He pulls a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue, That's the Ballybough way

    @padraig_reilly Twitter page

    Terrible for some families this morning. You just think the world’s in a pandemic and these people are just facing off with no thoughts of the world around them, it’s true for a lot of people it’sa different world they live in. Another family suffers for no good reason it seems.
