Man shot in Belfast was suspect in Mulready-Woods murder case. (RTE) sounds like someone we know

So RL is a goner they say.

This is as good confirmation as you'll get now.
The man shot dead in Belfast this morning was a notorious Dublin criminal who was suspect for the murder of 17-year-old Keane Mulready-Woods.

The 35-year-old who lived in Co Meath was shot a number of times at Etna Drive in the Ardoyne area of the city.

The 3 arrests are lads who traveled up with RL.

Supposedly collecting a debt owed to someone South of the border.

Hardly a double cross by the other 3. Why would you go all the way to Belfast. A hit or debt collection gone wrong I'd say. Seems like they had a few motors ready all the same.

Another example of the perils and futility of gangland. A bad ending to a sad life.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 252 ✭✭KM792

Apparently he was seen travelling up and down to Belfast by train when he was meant to be "abroad" according to the media.

The guy who lives next to the house put up a pic saying it took him 30 minutes to bleed out.
Some female relatives have travelled up to Belfast now.

Dublin Whatsapp on YouTube has a video of someone who bears a resemblance to a certain Gormanstown criminal enjoying the news.

    Was it a double cross?

Why use someone, who has more heat on them than deep heat?

6 months out, 3/4 months since allegedly involved in a high profile murder, he wasnt as intelligent as he was been made out to be.

The Don was taking out, for all the heat he brought.

Is RL’s killer one of those arrested?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,129 ✭✭✭Granny15

RL shot dead! He was a giant amongst a city of mice. But he broke the rules: 1. never get too arrogant 2. Don’t go to Belfast on gang business and expect to come back alive

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,660 ✭✭✭armaghlad

The alleged killer is apparently a bit of a headcase

Thought I'd post this after reading up on the gang world in Ireland during the time the kid was brutally killed a few weeks ago.

I felt a bit deflated when I heard this, that can't be a good sign, even though RL was a brutal thug people like him seem to command a sense of admiration.

I was never a fan of a certain section of the traveller community, maybe it's just a small section of them but they can be like medieval bandits with no regard for human life causing mayhem wherever they go.

RL seemed to be the only one who'd stand up to them. Maybe he was a person void of any humanity that targeted anyone in his way though, not particularly against travellers. I'm talking about how he took on CP and his extensive group.

Does anybody know the back story to RL, why he became the way he did, was he sexually abused as a kid, did prison at a young age corrupt him beyond repair?

Are there other potential RL's out there or was he at the top of his game, nobody could be that ruthless etc?

I have to say Ireland comes across as a wild place, almost medieval at times as I said, a glimpse into the past(and current) feudal systems.

This is only the second gang related murder in Ireland in 2020. There’s been maybe four botched hits as well. Hardly wild, there’s some bad spots like everywhere else but Ireland is mostly nice and peaceful.

What a shame, he would have been the only one who would have wiped out all those young cretins in coolock / darndale. I was highly satisfied with his last messy job.
A top bloke, he'll be missed.

Ah in fairness I was nearly afraid of him myself at one stage and I'm nowhere near that scene.

But a lot of young lads will find their voice now he's gone.
