You can't say that! It's.. intelligentist... Stupid - shaming, definitely something-ist!

I respect people's right to be dumb as a brick and I will fight to the death for their right to express their insanely moronic opinions.
People like you won't be happy until every free man woman and child is CRUSHED beneath the JACKBOOT of EDUCATION!
    Shame on you!

    :pac:

In my 10+ years on this site, I've been called every "ist" under the sun, depending who was posting. But "something-ist" is definitely a new one. :D

You know, you can remedy ignorance and it's malady we all suffer from, from time to time.

    But stupidity is incurable.

Years ago, though, stupid people stayed relatively isolated and somewhat quiet. But these days the internet tells them they're right and then they go out and exercise their stupidity.

Do you see where this is going yet? If you want to create a totally false panic about a totally false pandemic – pick a coronavirus.

They are incredibly common and there’s tons of them. A very high percentage of people who have become sick by other means (flu, bacterial pneumonia, anything) will have a positive PCR test for covi even if you’re doing them properly and ruling out contamination, simply because covis are so common. There are hundreds of thousands of flu and pneumonia victims in hospitals throughout the world at any one time.

All you need to do is select the sickest of these in a single location – say Wuhan – administer PCR tests to them and claim anyone showing viral sequences similar to a coronavirus (which will inevitably be quite a few) is suffering from a ‘new’ disease. Since you already selected the sickest flu cases a fairly high proportion of your sample will go on to die.

You can then say this ‘new’ virus has a CFR (case fatality rate) higher than the flu and use this to infuse more concern and do more tests which will of course produce more ‘cases’, which expands the testing, which produces yet more ‘cases’ and so on and so on. Before long you have your ‘pandemic’, and all you have done is use a simple test kit trick to convert the worst flu and pneumonia cases into something new that doesn’t actually exist.

Now just run the same scam in other countries. Making sure to keep the fear message running high so that people will feel panicky and less able to think critically. Your only problem is going to be that – due to the fact there is no actual new deadly pathogen but just regular sick people, you are mislabeling your case numbers, and especially your deaths, are going to be way too low for a real new deadly virus pandemic.

But you can stop people pointing this out in several ways.

    1. You can claim this is just the beginning and more deaths are imminent. Use this as an excuse to quarantine everyone and then claim the quarantine prevented the expected millions of dead.
    2. You can tell people that ‘minimizing’ the dangers is irresponsible and bully them into not talking about numbers.
    3. You can talk crap about made up numbers hoping to blind people with pseudoscience.
    4. You can start testing well people (who, of course, will also likely have shreds of coronavirus DNA in them) and thus inflate your ‘case figures’ with ‘asymptomatic carriers’ (you will of course have to spin that to sound deadly even though any virologist knows the more symptom-less cases you have the less deadly is your pathogen).

Take these 4 simple steps and you can have your own entirely manufactured pandemic up and running in weeks.

They can not “confirm” something for which there is no accurate test.”

    BOOM.

how do you explain ICUs overflowing all over the world?

Trump says they are examining the Wuhan lab and reports around the origin of the virus.

One day he gives out about China, the next day he praises then and now when asked about case numbers he asks do you really believe China.

Now none of us really do I know but still hes got a different agenda with China every day.

They can't really elect this again can they

It would be gold if a reporter asked Trump if he will be buying any of Iran's latest apparatus to detect the virus at 100 metres in 5 seconds...

Just because this new disease is from the same family of viruses as the common and usually mild coronavirus doesnt mean it has the same impact. The Spanish flu was also just another influenza, a family of diseases which most of the world recover from annually.

I think Iran is having a mental breakdown , do they have any moving statues there?

I think Trump may have read a little bit about Nixon's antics and thinks it's the best way to proceed.

Wonder will Micheál Martin be doing daily pressers on the virus when he gets the temporary wheel next week?

think it was said it could take another month and a half or two months to actually form a government

Incidentally Trump confirmed the aul lab in Wuhan is no longer being treated as some wild conspiracy theory but a very real point of investigation.

This is interesting till you ask yourself why was the army required to take coffins out of hospitals in Itsly, etc.

Yeah the guys running this hoax are incredibly lucky that death rates have actually surged massively in multiple countries at just the right time for them.

    Two things.

    1. Trump is a conspiracy theorist.
    2. Many concerns were raised over the years of a global pandemic arising from virus research labs. As likely a wet market.

The mayor of Los Angeles has said today the city will not be allowing any concerts, shows, sporting events or mass gatherings of any kind until 2021.

Expect this to be theme in the coming days.

Sounds sensible to be honest. A third of the year passed and writing the remainder off from a socially active point of view puts the focus of everyone on being part of a fix, focusing on doing their small part, to be part of the remedy, as opposed to being part of the crowd coming out with... “can I book a party for my mother’s 80th in August ?” “Is there any chance of restrictions being lifted for X tournament” etc... shutting down expectations from the ‘get go’ reduces the probability of chancers taking chances and putting us back at square one.

We do not know about the impact yet only time will show that.

In a way very government benefits from situation like this. Every problem imaginable can be now blamed on "it happend because of this..."
Even our one - remember water protests? Billing scrapped after people took into the streets. Now are essentially locked in home with no end in sight.
And no, it is not every government in every country and it is far from synchronised.
If it was really that bad then there would be millions of dead people all over africa and asia - mainly poor countries with non existent health industry.
