Your last statement is incorrect Tony Holohan confirmed last Friday that a substantial amount of those who died in hospitals were nursing home residents

It's a little hard to make sense of the figures though. I remember Holohan saying that but don't remember if he clarified whether they are counted as hospital deaths or nursing home deaths. If the 167 people who died in nursing homes is additional to the large percentage of hospital deaths from nursing home residents then it truly is horrific what's happening to those poor vulnerable people.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

First Trump presser I’ve watched. Wow! With all that’s happening right now this is all about him. It’s a propaganda extravaganza, an election campaign. The man is an unparalleled Narcissist.

I love how the video started with people saying that this is just a flu. Of course, it omits clips of Trump doing the same.

Then the coffee shop or the beach, or the Wicklow mountains as a lycra clad virus spreader spits into the wilderness. The only place where the public are mixing are supermarkets, where else could it be spreading, outside healthcare settings?

If only 10% are not adhering to the rules, it makes the measures only half as effective. You need total to near total compliance with something this virulent.

Small percentages of non compliance disproportionally reduce the measures effectiveness. They are not related linearly. The selfishness of the few destroy the efforts of the many - as is always in society.

So it's not supermarkets. It's infected workers and patients in healthcare settings and people visiting infected families that's perpetuating the spread.

A cheap version of an election campaign. What about the virus? I have an election to think about!

It's why some media simply don't cover it live anymore.

He said they are counted as deaths which occurred in hospitals of people whose homes were nursing homes, a lot of whom would not be suitable for ICU
