    Why were the German figures added today to the total? Made it seem as though there was a large jump, when in there was actually a reduction on yesterday

    There has been a delay in them coming back so they are being added in dribs and drabs, there were some added yesterday as well.

    They had a man aged 45 with no underlying health conditions on the News he was from Cork he had to be put in an induced coma because of Covid 19. Maybe this Will get the message across that it is not just old people.

    Yes that’s correct. The doom and gloomists will see it completely different for sure. Would you have been happier if today’s figures were the same as yesterday’s?

    Was he overweight? I think that is an underlying condition in and of itself but it isn't officially counted as one.

    New cases still high but we are doing good. Lockdown is working and social distancing is working. It will be worth it if we save lives of people.

    The old people in the nursing home’s fighting this have far more grit, respect and bravery than some of the gutless cowards on here.

    Not a hope. Young people dying has just been wrote of as "an outlier" theres always an excuse to ignore facts and claim its only the elderly.

    I think the message is pretty clear now that COVID is a more dangerous disease than first thought but the risk still remains relatively low for people under 60

    No he looked fairly fit, was in New York. Has it been shown if certain strains are harder?

    Day one of the German analysis amounted to 15,000 out of 29,000 tests, so must be nearly all analysed now, or at least by tomorrow.

    The numbers really mean nothing until the backlog is cleared. Realistically there’s probably 2/3 thousand resolved cases here. We simply cannot trust the new numbers because of how long ago the tests were taken.

    Best question ever well said. Not everyone obviously but some people seem to have a death obsession here, guilting everyone else into nearly breathing. All over some media as well ffs. When do we ever hear the good news that people have actually recovered, many people. No It’s all about lock downs, dark days, pure doom and gloom, even talking at the start of this about the erection of temporary morgues. Doom merchants. Some of them would nearly have the grave dug for you. No wonder people are terrified. It’s just not right.

    Virgin Media news showed a lovely clip of a 65 year old coming home recovered and RTÉ had a 45 year old who was in an induced coma for 9 days fully recovered. They are reporting some good news stories.
