And since I’m here and with nothing pressing in the diary….
The vids circulating of the celebrations in various quarters just show how much of a cloud was hanging over them when he was alive. Its interesting that Belfast has raised its head in this. Who was he collecting the money for (if that was the case)?
    And remember – nature deplores a vacuum…..

People celebrating his murder need to take a long hard look at themselves.

The man had young children, children don’t get to pick their parents. At the end of the day he was someone’s dad and son.

Whether he was a piece of work or not. Have some respect for the people around him who are the real victims.

So according to the PSNI the four currently being held are aged 33, 30, 27 and 17 - https://www.belfastlive.co.uk/news/belfast-news/ardoyne-shooting-psni-working-establish-18047229

According to an old article, the man who’s supposed to live at the property whose name has gone around as the likely shooter was 34 in September 2018. So either the police up there can’t find him, or there’s a lot more to this story.

Maybe his kids are better off not having this psychopath in their lives?

Just a heads up lads, don't say something that can't be backed up by a journalistic source. It can cause trouble from the mods and legal issues also. Nearly got the little lad chopped off just there.

Absolutely no doubt they will be. However, right now, they are grieving. They will not understand, all they will know is that their daddy is no longer around.

During this period, people should have an element of respect.

RL was a scumbag, ireland is safer without him.

Lawlor's FB friend list makes for interesting reading. A sister of one of his alleged victims, and the late Jordan Davis (who IIRC was best pals with CL).

Strangely not a single person of the surname Lawlor. Wonder did some of the family disown him?

With 100 convictions exactly how much of his life was he even outside prison? For such a notorious big timer he wasn't above taking part in junkie level jobs for 750 quid each in change.

Also friends with Ken Finn who he is alleged to have shot according to the papers.

I doubt they knew there was only €1500 in the security van. Probably expected a lot more. Tough tittie as they say.

Not sure if he was shot by the occupier of the house where he was supposed to be collecting a debt from.

Haven't heard anyone except a few clowns on twitter saying that.

Looks like there was a lot more to the story....

He's FB friend list hasn't a patch on some of the f***ed up psychotic things he's done.

    His family didn't disown him.

I was amazed some time ago to see some young members of the Hutch family had sons of main men on the Kinahan side listed as a friend.

I guess quality control goes out the window given the average person under 25 has upwards of 3000 friends, about 3 percent of whom they actually know.

Kinahans and hutches and Byrne's were all one crew at one stage.

he wouldn't be involved with any gang as realistically none exist in nationalist areas, which is why you seldom hear of incidents like this.

So where do people in nationalist areas source their drugs?

hes just one of those hoods that would be more into joyriding/house breaking than being involved in "organised crime" as he wouldn't be the brightest of bulbs.

Seems they can print what they like once the person is dead.

Yesterday before it was confirmed they were saying on twitter "believed to be involved in KMW murder".

Meanwhile in Mexico a gunfight saw 19 dead and the month of March alone had record breaking numbers for murder with 2,585 killed
Mexico’s homicide rate raced to a new record in March, as violence raged even as Covid-19 spread across the country and authorities urged the population to stay home and practise social distancing.

Mexico registered 2,585 homicides in March – the highest monthly figure since records began in 1997 – putting 2020 on track to break last year’s record total for murders.

The surge in killings comes as federal and state officials put resources into containing the Covid-19 crisis and confront the prospect of an already sluggish economy falling even further – potentially deepening the misery for the more than 40% of the population living in poverty.

“It’s business as usual [for drug cartels] with a risk of further escalation, especially if at some point the armed forces are called away for pandemic control,” said Falko Ernst, senior Mexico analyst at the International Crisis Group.
    https://www.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/05/major-drug-gang-shootout-leaves-19-dead-in-northern-mexico

2.585 murdered in a single month, Id say you're more likely to be killed by gangland violence in Mexico than you are by the virus.
