Yep you can only do so many taps before you need to input your PIN for security reasons, otherwise someone who stole or found your card could do unlimited tapping fraud, makes sense, obviously a bit of a pain right now, just go to a shop that has proper hand sanitiser at the til and you'll be grand.

All relatively low power consumption compared to water boiling, heaters, ovens etc. An average large tv uses only around 50-100w of power. Smaller ones half of that. Game consoles 120-170w under load. Compared to say 2000w of a kettle and 700w of a washing machine.

He won't apologise. He doesnt care about anyone one else except his own self promotion. He doesn't/can't admit that his own F up caused issues across the board at his own exhibition, Instead he used his own position of "fame" or within the media eye to publicly blame other people, including being crass and attack individuals. All while not providing any "real world" potential solutions.

Usually says it on the microwave itself. Around 800-1200 watts.

Pretty much anything that heats anything fast like kettles, microwaves, ovens, water boilers, washing machines, dryers, heaters are the main power consuming items in a home.

Modern lights, tv's, tablets, phones, consoles etc are very low in comparison.

Exactly and I truly believe that the further measures announce last Friday were as a result of these people putting pressure on government. We were doing OK with the measures that were in place. If you read back on the posts by some people last week they were assuring people that infections would go through the roof becuse too many people went out for a walk on a sunny spring day.

Separate them. Ask them to follow the self-isolation guidelines for shared houses, ask people to move in with relatives, use empty hotels as quarantine facilities.

We should do what's reasonable, not lock everyone up because we can't isolate the vulnerable perfectly.
